@bt.racing535 I would “guess” it should work as having sync wasn’t a requirement to replace the head unit. What I would do to confirm, if you can, is check the connections at the back of your unit matches those shown in my video. You can also contact the seller on amazon (or wherever you buy from) with your car model and get them to confirm before you buy.

Sounds like it’s not set correctly for your year of car. Have you checked the protocol settings on the unit? Mine is set to BSJ/Ford 09-14 Mustang ID 9005008 V1.008? I show how to check in the vid.

Thank you. I found out that my top is aftermarket with seams where there shouldnt be seams. If yours is stock it may be leaking around the glass or at the point where the top is stapled to the u shaped bar right at the back. If its the latter you need to remove it from the channel to fix properly. Best of luck 👍

Cant be the head unit. Have you checked the amplifier fuses?

Is yours the T shaped shifter from the slightly earlier models? Guessing the surround will be able to be removed in a similar way but I’ve only done it on this model and a manual 05 I’m afraid.

Mine too, shows 50 degrees C (I’m in the UK). I installed the Agama car launcher app and it has a temp reading that seems to pick up a more accurate 17 degrees C for this time of year. Comes with a free trail and (from memory) was a one off payment for a few bucks to buy the full version. I show it in one of my shorts.

Nice. Yup those PSE pumps can be difficult!

Those pumps are a terrible design for a car with leaking problems in the exact place of all the important electronics! 😂 Same goes for the battery control module, which I don't even know if you can get second hand anymore. Oh, and the SBC pump and its limited number of brake actuations before it just decides "Nope, you don't get power brakes anymore" I absolutely adore my R230 and I'm never ever selling mine but there are definitely some significant issues with them. If yours is the 3.7L you should be pretty much clear of all the balance shaft and intake manifold problems with the second gen engines at least! The 5G-Tronic is also less susceptible to the stupid TCM issues present in the 7G-Tronic (because, in Mercedes' infinite wisdom, the decided to put the TCM IN the valve body where it gets destroyed by transmission for the 7 speed, leading to an easy £3K bill each time)

Check the protocol settings haven’t reset themselves (I show how to check this in the vid) and if all else fails after the usual checks (check mute button, radio, carplay, equaliser for sound) try a factory reset.

Doubt it, the bezel wont fit and I think (from memory) the connectors are different. Could be wrong though! I got a sony double din for my 05 S197 which was good. Sure there will be others now specific to the earlier 197’s.

I found a solution! First you want to go to protocol settings. Make sure it says Network Can Set! Skip over raise. Scroll down to “BSJ”, to the right select ford, then select 2009-2014 mustang . Your ID should be 9005008. This will for sure fix the AC, steering wheel buttons and more!

Yes agree. Ride is superb. Problem is a lot of owners don’t do what you suggest and there are a lot of poor examples out there with struts that need replaced. Glad yours isn’t one of them 👍

Unfortunately they don’t come with any hardware so if you have lost the flap you will have to source a new spring and rod. They are very small so a look on the web may help in the first instance.

Hi, I’m not sure without seeing your setup but with this screen you replace the whole bezel removing all the stock trim. I think you need to tell the seller you have auto a/c as I’ve read the connector may be different but not sure tbh as mine is manual a/c.

Probably a snapped cable I’d guess. If you take the door card off you will see.

Factory soft top doesn’t had a seam on this area

Thanks, it is indeed. Not purchased and fitted by me but by a previous owner. The drains still needed clearing but the issues with the leaks up top are because of those seams. It’s completely leak free now after I took care of them plus off camera I took the rear part of the roof out and refitted it with new staples. I’ll be buying a better quality top to replace it though.

I think most convertibles do to some degree however my SL was as tight as a button. I tightened the roof stops at the back and lubed all the joints every year. Very little noise at all. Only on severe bumps that would rattle any car. Pretty solid feel.

@@autogaragelife Yeah you're right, although I've since come to realise the SLK probably suffers more than the SL judging by the amount of posts regarding this on some of the forums.

The SL has it’s own issues of course. The roof flaps not working properly is common leaving you stuck with the roof not working. Easy fix though and on one of my vids.

Didn’t know it was down but I can connect my screen to my home wifi when parked outside so can update that way. Don’t think you need the resellers web page for that.

I’m using Hotspot from my phone to have a WiFi connection on the unit. I did trying couple of times to download the new software but unfortunately failed. Have you done this before using your home WiFi ? Also have you got any interesting app that you recommend to use it while you driving?
