I am a huge fan of this game but I never saw someone playing the remake and I'm very surprised of the amount of new scenes the added. I just want to say I appreciate how meticulous you are about exploring areas. I know it might annoy some viewers but me personally when I love a game I want someone to catch as many details as possible and enjoy every aspect. I don't think I've seen you miss a detail and it's so nice to see. I never could understand how people can rush through a game like "yeah that's nice, anyway-"

Yeah you're definitely supposed to feel conflicted. It was selfish of Joel, for sure, to throw away the cure for humanity. but at the same time, given his history, I can't blame him for not being able to live with losing another daughter in his life. He simply couldn't. At a larger moral level... I think they were both wrong. Now, do I think Ellie would have chosen to go thru with the surgery? Yes. I absolutely think she would have. However, neither Joel nor Marlene/the Fireflies gave her the chance to choose and consent for herself. They were both wrong. And I know that technically she's too young to make that choice in our world, but in the apocalypse under these circumstances that's how they should have done it. Let her decide and respect that decision, whatever it would have been.

I’ve been kind of watching your videos in a backwards manner, starting with TLOU 2 and then watching your TLOU 1 playthrough while i wait for the next video. Something struck me while watching part 11 when Joel found the small grave outside of Jackson. Ellie wanted to discuss recent events, and Joel said “things happen and we move on.” I really like how you compared the game’s structure to Joel’s philosophy, with quick cuts to the next scene because there is not really any time to process his feelings. But now, seeing you play this game in Ellie’s shoes, we see a scene of her grieving Joel and throughout the whole game there are these flashbacks. It’s like the game’s structure shifted to match how she processes her feelings. It’s just really cool.

Infected can hear u and some can see u too so be cautious. Speaking of seeing when sneaking around don’t 4get to turn of ur light they can reveal ur location to both infected and humans.

If you keep your eye on Ellie in the toy store you can see her pick up the robot don’t know if anyone else said it

Loving this series. A lil tippy tip: when you pick up notes, always check the back. There are some serious clues and lore drops on the back sometimes. Also, rotate objects. You never know what you’ll see. 👍🏼😉

You should slow down when shooting, you are all over the place, try to focus more and be more patient with stealth and stuff, it's not a race, take your time. And try to get multiple people with a molotov instead of just one.

One little detail I love that most people don't notice is the museum firefly scene. As Ellie is looking at the firefly symbol you see her body language close off, and initially the "LIARS" is fully seen but when Joel comes onto the screen he covers the "S" in the "LIARS" symbolizing Ellie's slow understanding of what really happened in the hospital. That Joel lied to her. Also you are completely right about the moose and wolf figures in the museum!! Joel is the moose, and the WLF are the wolves; Abby of course being the one biting his leg.

54:15 I'm obsessed with the chaos of this, but just a tip: you only need to throw one molotov in this type of scenario. If a runner (or sometimes clicker) has to run past the fire from your molotov, they'll just catch fire and die. So if there's a molotov fire in a doorway, they'll all eventually catch fire by walking through it. Just in case you're low on supplies later on!

Great episode Gabe! My first playthrough of this part, I remember hardly killing anyone and just sneaking or running past them because I was so stressed about the dogs lol. Just got to the other side or checkpoint and kept moving 😂. It’s actually interesting that you can move through most “levels” without killing anyone.. if you choose to. Less fun to some degree maybe, but a different challenge nonetheless.
