    Very informative video thankyou. We're aiming to move to the highlands and the plan is for my partners parents to also sell up and come with us. Option one is we find a house with an adjoining dwelling. Option 2 is we try to build an annex wherever we go, so we're investigating all of this. Planning permission being the foremost concern.

      @stevenfox9070 8 днів тому

      Sounds like a great idea. Building your own annexe will certainly give you the best value, you get exactly what you want for the least money. Land is expensive so if you've got that you've already got a head start. Planning isn't likely to be an issue as long as it doesn't impose on a neighbouring property and don't intend to stick it on air bnb (a caveat in a lot of planning approvals). Good luck with the move.

    honestly I have zero choice BUT to get a jacuzzi, i rent an old dutch home int he netherlands, the shower room is a showerhead on the wall of a tiny 1 meter by 3 or so room, its cramped like a prison shower... the house is pretty small no bath.. I have zero place to go and unwind or relax, and for someone that has alot of anger issues so I need to have a place to go to unwind, to let things go, as im not a fan of people I have zero friends by choice, and dont want to be near people, so fighting sports arent a thing either.. so what ever the price.. it is a must.. sadly :(

    Unfortunately, time periods are given to secure the job. Once they get the job, the scheduled build time goes out the window. Cut down on the cups of tea and the woodbines. That will speed up the process.

    Thanks for breaking this down. Really insightful. Question, any reason you didnt consider a log cabin, which for that price could have built a 3 bed one so could have saved some costs?

    • @stevenfox9070
      @stevenfox9070 8 місяців тому

      Hi, simple reason - they don't conform for full time habitation. They would have to be adapted and the cost of that is huge. The building we have will also last longer and require less maintenence. We initially looked at the pre-fab units but there would have actually worked out more expensive

    Wow! Just kind of stumbled upon your project! Superb coverage. I have a large garden and I’m contemplating something similar. Your builders were a bit of a nightmare after half way and obviously had other commitments, almost like bigamist a husband that has many plates to spin. The quality looks great though! I wonder about the hot water system (excuse me if I haven’t read all the comments) could gas be an option? (Again thinking about my own situation) after your mum lives no in there for a while, what’s your energy bills like? Thank you for sharing your project. 😊 Roly

      Experience in building shite by the sound of it 😂, you're the only person ever to express that. Many have come to me to say what good value it was and they can't even come close. I'm more than happy that I got a good deal. Wouldn't have been interested in a cowboy project, this was done right, it's been battered by the storms of late but hasn't flinched.

    • @limitedinsight
      @limitedinsight Рік тому

      Thanks! I forget the exact dimensions but I think it's about 360sqft. Building is 8.5m x 5.5m externally so internal about 8x5. It tapers in to 4m in the living room area though.

      I have to admit I was of the same opinion. I was bought one for Xmas last year though and have to say I love it. Its certainly the best way to drink beer at home. I particularly like the Hawkstone Lager you can get on it now, great beer. Since I did this review a couple of years ago now things have improved a lot at Beer Hawk (now just called Perfect Draft), service is good and the selection of beers has improved a lot. It is expensive at around £3/pint on average but if you're just having a couple a week as a treat Its a great product and doesn't break the bank. Cost of the machines has fallen now too, start at 169 with a keg. Thanks for watching the video.

    Have you read the manual before making this video? Probably not, because you omitted some important steps. Also, in the tap unit installation, you have mixed up the sequence. Your posh accent is not a substitute for being a professional. This is food&beverage department, not following the rules may become a health issue.

  • @gibbygibson8699

    Just got my first one and when installing the tap onto the keg it keeps spraying beer everywhere, any tips?

    • @stevenfox9070
      @stevenfox9070 Рік тому

      Good firm push down with both palms on top of each other, try to avoid touching the blue bits. You should hear an affirming click. Also ensure kegs have been sat still before putting on, they don't like to be thrown about. Hope that helps.
