Good vid. Side note: That bike is all mechanical. There're no sensors on it. Closest thing to a sensor on that bike is the neutral position switch but that's really just a mechanical button. Also, those bolts aren't Philips heads...they're JIS bolts which stands for Japanese Industry Standard. Philips heads are designed to cam out and strip. JIS bolts are not but if you try to use a Philips head screwdriver bit on them they will still strip since they're not mating together properly even though it seems like they are. Get a JIS screwdriver and a Philips screwdriver and compare the bit ends. You'll be surprised.
I am redoing this same bike but the one i have has 3k miles and has been garaged since 91. i thought i was all set and then i had an oil leak in the stator case
Any update on this ? Btw 9:48 you can buy casing/cover allen bolt kits on eBay to replace those chocolate screws, u got lucky undoing those as usually they're trashed !
Currently an issue of time and location. At college apartments and bike is at home. Moving into house next year that will allow for more projects. Much more with many people
I care. Got my first bike, a box 305 and I'm just tearing it down to clean it all n teach myself a few things. The bike was parked for 15 years but we got it going so any info would be welcome so 1 like coming up
