You the man! I Got into an accident this week and pretty much now waiting on the insurance to cut me a check! And start this project! Glad to see it can be done without body shop!! Thank you
Bro, you wouldn't believe my luck! A year ago I purchased a 07 Impala hit in front, but not bad enough to replace the radiator support! Other than that same as yours! I ordered the replacement parts today & dreaded having to do the work, but seeing your video today gave me the boost I needed to get off my lazy butt & get to work! Good job & thanks for making the video!
Jus got a 06 impala ss n I got to replace the radiator but the radiator supports done things getting eatn away by rust I wan do this I already took the radiator and fan out but I got no experience with cars and on top of that I don’t think I got the tools needed
@@cammims7645 If you're going to go the cutting route instead of spot weld drill bits, I would suggest using an angle grinder because it is pretty thick steel and a lot of welds. The best method I found was cutting (using a cutting disk) a small square around the spot welds on the part being removed, remove the part, then grind (with grinding disk) the squares remaining on the chassis down.

$1500? the support alone is about 150 bucks. how did it cost you so much? I was gonna purchase a mig welder and weld in a new one but I like your idea of using bolts

I have to replace the radiator support on my 03 monte. How much would this job run me
What Kind of Drill did you use to Cut the Radiator Support. Gotta replace this on my 07 Ss!
The proper way would be to use a spot weld drill bit. I just used a grinder.
@@freehandgarage I can't just use a Dremel and cut where you were Grinding at? And just keep it held on like the bolts you were using?

What’s the part that connects the front grill and headlights retainer clip to called mine broke so my headlights are wobbly

So there was no way to get the frame shop to pull out the upper support?
Never looked into it, looking back that would probably have been a good start to the repair.
FYI, The damage was quoted by two separate shops to be around $6000 to repair and without paint I was able to do it for $1500.

@@thechosenone3504 Shipping was almost half of it. I really wanted to go to the junkyard to really bump that price down but I didn't have time.
Bro I got the same price for my repair, lol I’m now doing it myself thanks to you
Where are those 30 dollar head lights at???
Rockauto. One leaked and needed to be resealed though.
