I feel like most of these "new discoveries" are just retconning history with blatant shitposts by newbie modders. Especially since this was posted during the height of COVID in 2021 and the posters often don't even have a profile picture and a half assed video description like "What kind of shit was found in 2019" . Not to mention that the fanbase already long since scoured the games for all of their cut content over 15 years ago outside of non-publicly available development builds and the "Silent hill 2 video essay" trend happened around 2017-2019 with nothing but idiots parroting the same talking points as each other with absolutely nothing original of their own to say. This video uploader even has their own video of the cut silent hill 1 monsters that everyone already knows about as case in point.

The fact that he went back to that first savepoint in town at that part of the game, which he had no reason to, stressed me more out than the fact that pyramid head is somewhere. Idk why its just so unusual to see this area at night. I never went anywhere I wasn't supposed to at nighttime.

I know I've read that 'Phantoms' by Dean Koontz was likely one of the sources of inspiration for SH, and that book features a giant killer moth creature at one point. I wonder if thats where the idea came from, It seems too specific to be coincidental as a moth is not exactly the scariest enemy to put in a game.

I never realized how goofy his walk animation is lol They made the right decision though, he's supposed to be a bigger threat, and having him in the streets lessens the impact of the moments when you finally do meet him face to face in the more cramped areas of that game that suit his slow movement speed much better.
