    Hey Didi & Henry, This is Rana from India. I’ve always dreamed of going bikepacking someday, and I watch a lot of bikepacking videos on UA-cam. By chance, your Episode 7 popped up in my feed yesterday. After just a few minutes of watching, I was hooked and immediately started from Episode 1. Now, here I am, completely in love with your channel! Your storytelling is captivating, and the way you narrate your adventures, combined with the breathtaking visuals, is just amazing. I also really appreciate your deep love for nature, humans, and animals and your attention to detail. What attracts me most to your journey is the philosophy of living that you embody. I'm eagerly waiting for the next episodes! Love & warm wishes from a happy subscriber of your channel....

Episode 14 is on it’s way, it will be a couple of months before it’s out though - we’re travelling right now (not by bike this time - but we are documenting it - and I think it’s going to be awesome 🤩)

    Wasze filmy są bardzo dobre i miło się je ogląda. Dają obraz innych krajów. Jeśli chodzi o Polskę, to dynamika zmian w Polsce jest ogromna. Zmienia się wszystko i to na lepsze. W Polsce jest moda na rowery i są robione udogodnienia pod tym względem. Każde miasto stara się budować sieć ścieżek rowerowych. Nowe budowane drogi muszą mieć ścieżki rowerowe. Klimat się ociepla, pogoda jest sprzyjająca. Można od marca do listopada w miarę komfortowo jeździć na rowerach. A jest co w Polsce zwiedzać. Polecam seerdecznie.

    haha, I doubt church has anything to do with this. This is the famous Slovak megaphone system that is still present in some of the towns and villages. They usually announce on-road sellers who will be in a village for few hours (they sell fruits / vegetables / clothes / shoes / etc), funerals and random administration announcements like local post office will be closed today etc.

    Glad to see you guys in my country, but I wished you had a nicer experience. Actually from what I see you had the realistic and authentic experience. You see things as they really are because you come with open eyes and souls. For too long we had a negative selection in Serbia where people of influence and power are people who should realistically be in jails, and people with compassion are leaving the country. This was drastically increased during the wars, and after, because the same people stayed in power. I could go much deeper into this subject, but this it in a nutshell. I lived over 20years outside Serbia and I still feel like a foreigner in many ways in my country. My first photography exhibition was about stray dogs. I photographed and met hundreds, and all of them were wonderful. Helped found a home for some, and as much as I try not to notice them on the streets I steel see them. This will change some day. In the meantime we do what we can, and you certainly did a wonderful job. 🙏

    • @DidiandHenry
      @DidiandHenry 4 місяці тому

      Thank you very much for your comment - I'm glad you see authenticity in the film, that means a lot to me - we really try to show it-as-we-see-it. You people really deserve better than corrupt leaders and criminals sitting on the power - the Serbs remain among the kindest people we have ever met. Thank you for putting awarenes on the homeless dogs and even saving some - those dogs really left us both heartbroken - we still are - it was quite emotional to edit the film. Is it possible to see your photos of the dogs somewhere? Cheers, Henry

    Oh! Effing heartbreaking! I would have felt the same way you did. I love animals and had a similar experience in Cuba while walking. Yes, it was really heartbreaking - it was a tough story to edit. I'm glad to hear you managed to save that cat in Cuba. Thank you - we're glad you like our videos and it's nice to hear from a fellow animal lover :) Cheers. Henry

    I have to say, this bikepacking adventure is really well filmed, and the editing and color grading are so professional. I love the maps and graphic design. Now, what I don't like is that it feels like a Discovery Channel show where they make everything so dramatic and over the top. It's feels fake, especially the living room storytelling scenes. They just don't feel natural, like they've been scripted. Just my thoughts keep it real

    • @DidiandHenry
      @DidiandHenry 4 місяці тому

      Hi :) Thanks for the positive words and especially thanks for the critique - I really appreciate it. The living room (sync) shots are indeed scripted - they are a somewhat necessary "evil" I had to invent to get the story across the table - I could probably have done a better job, but at the time it felt like the right direction to go in. I'm super curious - how do you feel about the more recent episodes, specifically episode (10) 11 and 12 - that's the point where the format and the footage from the trip reach a potential where the sync is no longer needed. Do they feel more or less fake? Have a nice weekend. Henry
