He communicated well. I had a lot of specific customizations though. A 5 string version of it, active pickups for a battery cavity, etc. I ordered it in April and got it in August. So almost 4 months. That part sucked. What seller did you go through? Make sure to ask for pictures throughout your build. It'll ease your mind. I bought a 5 string RIC clone and it took about 2 1/2 months. Different seller. It looked nice but played awful. Had to do alot of work to make it playable. The WAL was incredible. No fixes and straight mods. 👍

Ok so the working time seems about the same. seller I used was Capeixi666. New seller with zero reviews. Just seemed sketch as why pay for express shipping then get a tracking number to avoid auto refund. could’ve just spent zero for shipping and presumably get the bass at the same time lol

@@Sebastianrm1988 well the listing didn’t say it was made to order so the extra I paid to have it shipped by dec 5 was a waste. When asked about that they said it’ll be 35 days. The 35 days is up this Monday. They gave me an alleged update of two photos showing a rough CNC body. The communication is rough as I’m assuming the translation from Chinese to English is terrible. I’ll let you know if it arrives and resembles a bass lol

Oh no worries. Stuff takes time. I mean hell you sourced a bass on a sometimes sketchy site, had an American pick up maker and a UK preamp maker all come together to finish your project. Quite the thing man! Nice playing by the way 👍🏻

As far as the actual straight out of the box, not a whole lot. The strings were cheap and replaced them with Ernie Ball super slinky's. It's very playable as is. The video demo I did is an unmodified version of what I got. Today, I am ironically getting my Turner Multicoils in. Already have my Lusithand Double NFP-Special Preamp. So hopefully, by tonight, I'll do the swap. As is though. It is a great bass. Comparable to a Sterling MM sound. I love my Musicman I already have so that's why I'm going for a Walish look and ballpark sound in this one. I love this Bass. It is constructed good and feels amazing. I'll definitely do an a/b comparison on this Bass once I'm done. Thanks for watching.

I was considering going for the turner multicoils as well, it was between those and the rautia, but heard more good things about the turners! with those and the lusithand im sure itll be a ballpark tone as youre saying. Me too. The quality was surprisingly very well. Love the look and feel. Ali quality control has been hit or miss. Bought a 5 string RIC clone that was garbage. Alot of work I put into that one to make it playable. This bass is my 2nd one I've bought through Aliexpress. Took a chance and was more than pleased. I've replaced the knobs with metal push pull type(walish) looking. Got the Double NFP Special preamp harness. Chris Turner from Turner Pickups is finishing some multicoils for me to put in this. I know it won't sound exactly like a WAL when it's all said and done. Think it'll be in the ballpark though. Woke up a few hours ago and started playing some Tool on it. Even as is without the pickup and preamp swap. Really truly like the way this Bass looks and feels. I'll most definitely be doing another video once I get everything done on it. Again, the quality of the neck, body and bridge are very good and I am very pleased with it. Thanks for watching.

It will be very interesting to hear an A/B comparison between those music man style pickups & whatever preamp they've just thrown in and the new stuff which is probably going to cost as much as the bass did.

​@jamesnell7224 That's the plan. Going to do the a/b as soon as I get the pickups. I've been slowly upgrading other things on it as well. Knobs have been swapped out and a string retainer has been added. I was surprised how much I liked the bridge and tuners. Leaving those alone. I do love the build/feel as well and am more than pleased with the craftsmanship of it. The only problem it had was the output jack was mono and draining my battery every 5 days. I swapped it out and wired it correctly with a stereo jack until I do the Lusithand preamp and Turner pickups swap. I knew going in to it that I will be spending more on upgrades than the actual cost of the bass itself. I'm glad the bass itself is quality made and sounds great as is. Nothing as a Wal does but good. I'm saving the pickups and preamp out of this to put in another homemade bass I'll be making in the near future. It'll be my 4th 3D Printed body. Excited for that build too. Hopefully I'll have the pickups in a few weeks and it'll be ready to go. Thanks for watching.

@@eljbassist9790 nice one! I'm sure the pickups and preamp will be worth it as they sound awesome in every demo video I've seen. It won't be 100% as the Lussithand isn't to direct copy of the wal preamp and I'm not sure if such a thing even exists but it seems to be the best one out there for now (at least until whatever patent wal has runs out).

@jamesnell7224 Thanks. For sure. I've been very impressed with that combo as well. I'm going for ballpark on a Wal sound. Good enough for me. Don't have 10K for the real deal, let alone 4yr wait lists. Lol. More than happy and excited with this project bass.

The stock pu's were a little to weak and tingy for my liking. Could be corrected with and overdrive and eq but decided to swap them anyways. I purchased both the pickups on Aliexpress. Love the swap. I'll try to do a better direct connect cover in a few weeks. Keep a look out. I have done some recordings with it and it sounds awesome IMO.

@@eljbassist9790 I bought this guitar but The DIY versión. Thanks for The Feed, probably for now use some old pickups from my Jackson DKAF 7 multiescale, this pickups are bigger than normal 7 String pickups, but in future I will buy invader from aliexpress!

Thanks Carraig. I recorded this a few years ago and at that time i went through a Klon clone pedal to a 16 channel Mackie mixer that had increased highs and lows. I had left the mids at 0 or -2. I was recording in Logic Pro 8 with a compressor, digital stereo mixer and a limiter selected in the channel.
