Blues Traveler bassist was fucking badass
That’s a really interesting Right hand technique! Very aggressive but you seamlessly switch from slap and finger style! Cool to see different people play differently
Very good, I like your finger picking, Great.
Your plucking hand style is bad ass, u ok incorperate ur thumb, ur amazing
Gnarly man.
Haven't watched this yet, came to see if that was a hockey jersey in the back 🤣🤣🤙👌
Lol. Cool. 🤘 It was my brother's away jersey. He plays in leagues up in Washington.
Outstanding!
Have you ever played a banjo?
You'd slay.
Spot on , you're a really dope player man
Awesome 👍
Bro that was sick. I feel like if Les Claypool attempted this song it would look and sound just like how you played it. Subscribed!
Cool cover! Very nice performance bro😎
Thanks brother! Glad you liked it.
Very good...but bass don't hit back. But seriously, best bass cover of this song I've seen on here. Great job dude
So much movement with that right hand! If I tried to play like that I wouldn’t even be able to get a job playing “free jazz”. What influenced you to use that technique? (And just to be clear, I’m genuinely curious. I’m not trying to belittle you in any way.) Nice job BTW.
Hello Pb. Appreciate the question and seriously, no belittling was taken. In fact, Many thanks. I've always tried to be universal in picking, slapping, strumming, tapping etc type techniques. I'm sure there are different ways to play this song, but I get pretty hyper and the way I played it felt right to me. Believe me, I know bad habits develop throughout time and I have many. I've never taken lessons(live in remote area) and never had privilege to. Wish I had been able to and developed myself from 1992 till now. Cassette tapes and trial and error was how I learned. You have me intrigued to see different ways to play this and see if it is a way I might feel comfortable with. Thanks Pb!
ELJ BASSIST your feeling is very apparent in your playing! I’m sure more than a few of the “greats” have learned like you have, so keep being you! Thanks for the reply.
Awesome cover what settings did you use on your amp to get that tone?
Thanks Carraig. I recorded this a few years ago and at that time i went through a Klon clone pedal to a 16 channel Mackie mixer that had increased highs and lows. I had left the mids at 0 or -2. I was recording in Logic Pro 8 with a compressor, digital stereo mixer and a limiter selected in the channel.
