Just a couple of avid DIYers doing DIY things! We've been doing both home renovation and improvement projects for nearly 10 years. With this channel, we hope to preserve the memories of our efforts as well as inspire others to tackle their own projects. Thanks for checking us out and hope you find some of these videos useful!
DIY Raised Garden Beds
In this video, I'm building tall raised garden beds to plant some fruits, vegetables, and herbs. These planters are HUGE and should give you ample space to plant whatever you need! Best of all, these don't use any pressure treated wood, so there's no worry of harmful chemicals leaching into your soil.

How to Fix a Hard to Open Door
Переглядів 57День тому
Over the last few months, the front door of our new home has become hard to open and close. In this video, I'm going to show you how I fixed it using something you probably have in your cupboard! Over time, heavy doors will sag due to their weight pulling down on the upper hinge. Small hinge screws sometimes will have difficulty holding on, and when they pull away, they leave oversized holes th...

DIY Concrete Footings for a Backyard Pergola
How many 2x6x16's and 2x6x8's did you use?
Amazing job! I love how you "weathered" the face of the bed after staining.
Nice job! I can't tell you how many times I've been working on a project and said "Oh, now I see why" so good to know about the truck haha
You made my day!!!!! ... . the high loop advise saved me!
Awesome job, I'm sure he'll always remember and be grateful for all the things his daddy made and did for him.❤😎
Veramente molto belle
I take it Amazon doesn’t have a complete hardware kit and you will have to piece part it?
Perfect 👍
El Paso right ? What other city has those rock walls, lol.
well, I don't see myself doing that, a bit too much to know how to do from the git go, but I did learn about corner clamps and I'll be eternally grateful for that
That wall!!!🤠
How much of the anchor bolt did you leave exposed to properly fit with the base plates?
About 3/4 of an inch.
@@HouseholdHowTo thank you, also, do you have a list of everything you used and a plan? I'm going to build your pergola in our backyard.
Awesome idea!

That's doing too much I bet there are other son didn't have that and he's doing fine
Whoa that worked well! Any ideas how to fix being a stubborn man tho?
Wow …talk about good fences making good neighbors
What joist hanger did you use for the cross beam for added support, and how did you angle it to the right angle?
"I made that," (or, "I did that.") is something that never gets old to me. That sense of pride you feel can never get taken from you. Great job.
My high end dishwasher has an over-kill super fine screen attachment that sits above the drain in the bottom. After trying many methods I finally took it out and there was a gross forest of slime things hanging down from the bottom of the screen. After cleaning it up I put it back and checked a few days later...it was starting over again. Decided to remove the thing entirely since I always rinse particles off the dishes first and there was major improvement. But then, the faint smell returned and I am assuming it is backwash from the drain hose so now I pour about 1/4 cup of white vinegar in the drain between using and this has eliminated the problem. Sometimes I think it is a bad drain system set-up that is the culprit and I can't afford to redo the plumbing. I found a solution I can live with.
So awesome!
Bonjour Je suis de France ou es que je peut trouver uniquement les vérins a gaz, leur longueur et puissance en newton? Merci Cordialement
I personally verified the durability and love the idea! Another home run the great b-rye!!!!
Sweet!
Thanks!
You did a very good job Man. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Just watched this. Omg egg!!
Was wondering why you didn't put drawers on both sides, then saw that it was placed against wall. Since you designed the top to come off, to recover that lost toy, I thought it might be a good idea to put the drawers on the back side also to use for some additional long term storage. Older kids for winter clothes, out of season sports items, or even Christmas decorations and such, but leave drawer pulls off. As to the center supports, my 4 year old granddaughter would require these for the S.H.I.T.S. bed jumping (she is not allowed to do, but insists is fun.) I love the simplicity of the design, and plan to build something like this. I will probably add a bookcase headboard to allow her to keep her books somewhere safe. As she grows I can add an outlet so she can charge her tablet and phone.
what was the final cost of this pergola build?
Around $700, but lumber prices were higher back then.
Amazing!
Could this method be used as a mount for a freestanding pergola or pergola kit?
You need more water!
I want to try this, would it be possible to get plans for a 3/4 bed
good video but I pour more milk on my breakfast than u put in that barrow fist time lol
I’ll bet a year later with all that lumber in that dry heat it looks like absolute hammered shit. That stuff is not meant to be used that way. It’s meant to go on the ground, but it’s meant to keep the bugs away and not rot where there’s high humidity.. people have no idea what the fuck they’re doing
El Paso maybe??
Amateur !
What was the overall cost to build this?
I believe it was about $800 total.
More water in the mix, no reason to use fast setting mix.,You have more time to work to be sure there are voids inside the sonotube with normal setting concrete.
Awesome idea! Hubby and I are excited that this might be an answer to the litter dust issue!!!
That was what my wife hated the most about the litter box. This is her favorite project that I've done!
Thank you for your teaching sir I’m building something similar for my granddaughter. Your work is amazing and I’m glad to see that you have been able to share your knowledge experience
Good luck!
Hey y’all this is a DYI project calm down. Thanks for sharing. Love that property line stonewall.
do you do the same with bleach as with vinegar (ie put a glass of bleach in the empty washer and run a cycle)?
I have not done that with bleach. I usually spray the inside with bleach and wipe it down.
How long did you waited for it to dry before putting up the pergola?
I let it dry for a week before I started the pergola
👍
that fence wall is every homeowner dream.
Which brand are you using for 90 degree corner clamps?
What's the name of that fabric you used.. I need to order some but i need a name to order it, or a description of it, thanks
Ok…there is so many options here,it’s a pergola
Excellent job & great edit! Thanks for capturing.
Thanks man easy fix
I love the triangular shape to fit into the corner.
