Why shouldn't a "what does MDR do" theory be an obvious one? I consider it to be one of the smaller or less significant mysteries of the show, though, so I don't really care all that much about what the answer to that question is if they choose to provide one. Well, actually I guess my preference would be that it remains ambiguous/obfuscated and left up to individual viewer interpretation, as I find direct answers for things like this in mystery shows to be incredibly lazy storytelling and insulting for the audience. For the show to be worth it's weight for me I'd say a solid 50% of the mysteries should remain ambiguous, with multiple plausible answers being possible for them.

from the movies alone i think there are clues that she had her memory the entire time. for example the telepathy, how does she know how to use it and communicate, they both have the ability to do so yet tomas doesnt reach out like she does. shes instigating it with control like she knows what shes doing. thats one example id have to actually read the books to fully know

I just picked up the last book to finish this series just recently. I had maybe a 10 year gap between the 6th book and the last. That was a bit of an issue but like *shrugs* Pretty okay. The ending was a bit of a mess, things just happen, but it was a fun ride I guess. Better when I was a kid for sure.
