I went on Amazon and found Fleece lined tights. They are like leggings but with a skating sock like bottom (at the foot). And it keeps me warm. (Layering also helps.) Most skaters at my rink use them.

I'm just learning how to figure skate idk how to do a back spin

I’ve got it down confidently on one side, almost up to one-footed turns, but I can barely even get my foot up to balance for the other! It’s so weird. And I took ballet for many years before starting skating, so I’ve never had “one sided” training. 😵‍💫

My coach said to point the knee straight or a little bit to the skating leg. Helps a lot❤

You know, when you say engage your core, that’s exactly what a coach that taught me before my current coach stepped in said. I never thought I would get into teaching skating myself, but I’m teaching kids in the Snowplow Sam classes at the rink where I first learned how to skate years ago, and this is some great advice to tell the kids in Level 1, so thank you! I’m always looking for new teaching methods to use.

Do u have any tips to not go on ur toe pick while spinning I’m only doing 2 foot spin and I spin pretty fast but I have a big issue with my toe pick also going on the ground and idk if it’s my posture or something
