I really enjoy this movie, but the whole army marching sounds added when we see 4 or 5 soldiers are just hilarious.
A I’m waiting for part12
Can ypu do part12 please 😢😢😢
I am so enjoying this movie. Thank u so much for sharing it! :)
Biggest irony about Henry VIII was after years of trying to produce a male heir, his glorious successor was his daughter Elizabeth. If he'd have seen what she achieved when she was Queen, I'm sure that he would have been proud of her!
HBC was miscast as Anne. Generally, I like her acting but this is perhaps one of her worst performances. So wooden. She was also physically too beautiful for Anne Boleyn who was supposed to be plain but charming. She was the opposite, beautiful but without charm. Well, at least they got her eye color right.
The worst henry v111 I've ever seen simply awful
*Do you have the rest of Henry VIII?*
The proposal 0:21 let’s face it if Henry the 8 had given Anne Boleyn a proposal like that I think she would have deffo choose that then death what do you guys think in your opinion it would have been interesting had both Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard got their annulment from Henry the 8 and were sent away I wonder what would have happened to them after the annulment as the years progressed and everything that would be interesting
The marriage was in fact annulled a few days before the execution.
Henry voulait se débarrasser d Anne.Il a tout planifié,rien n aurait pu la sauver.Comment il aurait pu justifier un autre mariage ????
Henry was a tyrant, he was only in love with Katarina until his obsession with having a son overtook him, he was in love with the thought of having a son
Can I just ask, as a history lover, what on EARTH is on Anne’s head!? It looks like a French hood but why isn’t she wearing a veil?
Well done Henry the 8th.
Thank you Laura for posting this series.
I have watched Ray Winstone, from Carling in SCUM, to a small part in QUADRAPHENIA. And now he portrays our greatest monarch, with an outstanding performance.
Greatest?
I was a 17 year old closeted gay lad when this came out first. That "Duke of Norfolk" guy was my guilty pleasure.
"What is the most important thing to do, when you are King?" _"Make glorious war; capture the spirit of Agincourt; keep the Scots at bay; expand the treasur..."_ *"Wrong!"* "Crush your enemies; see them driven before you; to hear the lamentation of the women!"

Ray Winston is a very good Henry as I imagine him to have been. His chunky body, the mixture of brutishness, and tenderness, not much intellect, and his cry like the new born son Anne couldn’t give him. I think this is his best part. Don’t know if he ever has been given the credit he deserves for his acting.
Thank you for posting this.
I'm starting to think just about every major English actress - with a few Americans thrown in - seems to get a shot at playing Ann Boleyn as though it were a professional rite of passage. 15 years earlier, Bonham Carter also played Lady Jane Grey, another Tudor era figure who fell to an executioner's axe. Frankly, I don't know what it is about that particular period that makes actors so enamored of re-enacting it and audiences so compelled to keep watching it re-enacted. There are a lot of other parts to British history just as crazy and blood soaked, but we keep getting the damn Tudors.
The other wife also suffer a miserable and painful death, and Wife number 4 to 6 suffer the same death that the first 3 have : Catherine of Aragon died of cancer (1536) Anne Boleyn beheaded (1536) Jane Seymour died of childbirth (1537) Anne of cleves died of cancer (1557) Catherine Howard beheaded (1542) Catherine parr died of childbirth (1548)
It's breaks my heart when she said mommy 💔
2023¿
Great cast - still not sure abaht Ray as gangster ‘enry.
0:40 pretty messed up scene! What's worse is they tried filming this with him wearing a crown and it kept falling off while he fucked her, it made the scene too funny. Very unfortunate all around!
Just to get what he wanted, Henry let them make fun of his brother’s memory. Very depraved
She was innocent of this crime 😢
Ray Winston was great as Henry, but Where's the rest of the series? This would've been a great series, had they completed it. Why would a drama series on Henry V111 just end with the death of Anne Boleyn? Bit of a disappointment really. I really think Ray Winston would've been a better fit than Jonathan Rhys Myers in the Tudor series. At least he was English
Henry wanted to be remembered and he is as a murderer, whoremonger and the brat king. So justly and ironic this was his remembered legacy.
"congratulations, Thomas" "thanks, Thomas" "what do you say, Thomas?" "not much, Thomas" was everyone in this period of England named Thomas? just to name a few: - Wolsey - More - Boelyn - Cromwell - Cranmer - Culpeper and many more
Sardo Numspa bites the dust,
Henry VIII with a cockney accent 🤣
Yeah I like a bit of that sort that Anne Bolyn, but I can't do nuthin cos a got that fackin trout on me shoulder, Catherine of Aragon!
This version of Anne Boleyn was unbelievably beautiful, confident and class rolled into one, I truly believe this is what she was like, I truly believe she was innocent on all crimes and it was so wrong what happened to her the true Queen of England
Henry VIII thinks he's cursed because he married his brother's widow, and he thinks that's a sin. But then, why was he able to have a son by his mistress Bessie Blount? Adultery is a true sin and God granted him with a son. And James V of Scotland could have a son by his mistress and not with his legitimate wife. And James V didn't marry his brother's widow...
It’s cool that Helena got to join the Anne Boleyn ranks of Guineveve Bujold, Natalie Portman , Natalie Dormer and even Claire Foy! ( as Anne Boleyn )
Anne was never betrothed to Percy, he was just one in along list of admirers whom Anne kept at arms length. Later when Henry Vlll tried to use Percy as reason to have his marriage to Anne annulled Percy went before the ecclesiastical courts and swore on the holy sacrament that they had never been engaged to Anne. Besides, he was already formally engaged to Eleanor Butler, arranged by his father and there was no getting out of it. So if he did contract to marry Anne it would have been null and void. Anne wouldn't risk the possibility of making an honourable marriage by dallying with boys at court - it could ruin her reputation as her sister Mary's affair with the king ruined hers and nearly ruined the Boleyn name. But Anne wasn't to know them that she would be courted by the highest man in the land.
He wanted a reputation to last history. He got it as the brat king and wife killer.
Guys, this is a film. Not real. A film. There are many many inaccuracies. But it is not a history book. It is a film.
LOL at the thumbnail!
I would like us all to remember that Helena was pregnant during the filming of this hense how her dresses look
I can say how sad it is when she says “please he’s already been with my sister can he not spare me” my heart broke for her
Ray Winstone is a Badass henry 8, cockney chav King and so convincing!
Ray Winstone is the best Henry the VIII
I believe Katherine of Aragon lied. She lied about her marriage to Arthur being unconsummated - he surely had her. and even if she didn't; she knew how vulnerable the Tudor dynasty was and it was unforgivable for her to have clung to Henry in the full knowledge that the period in which they lived demanded a legitimate male heir. She should have relinquished her status gracefully. He didn't even like Anne of Cleves but he treated her almost excessively generously and she hadn't even had a child by him. Katherine, had she chosen to be sensible and kind and wise would have been spoiled rotten and treated warmly. She could have agreed to relinquish her status as Queen on the condition that her daughter was still kept in the line of succession. Because she was so determined to cling on despite everything was her ruin. It didn't have to be that way. She also soured Henry and helped to turn him into the monster he became.
Henry destroyed Ann when Ann gave birth to the best and most powerful Queen in England, Queen Elizabeth I
she looks like michael jackson in apes!
Poor Elizabeth. Losing her mother at a young age. It's so sad.
As a rule, English royal children were kept apart from their parents most of the time. Moreover, Elizabeth was only two and a half when Anne was executed, so she probably had no memory of her at all. Catherine of Aragon, being Spanish, was a notable exception. Royal families in Spain were very close, and she had that same relationship with Mary.
When Elizabeth said ' I want my mummy' I couldn't hold back the tears she's so young and doesn't understand all she wants is her mummy and it's so heart breaking knowing she won't ever see her mummy again
A slight historical inaccuracy: Henry Percy was already betrothed to a daughter of the Earl of Shrewsbury. There was also the matter of James Butler, who claimed the title of Earl of Ormond. Details here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Percy,_6th_Earl_of_Northumberland#Involvement_with_Anne_Boleyn
Very good but historically inaccurate but still enjoyable thank you
