Caught the 4D several times going to work from Ringwoid to Richmond. At the time it was great and seemed long overdue. Never understood why it vanished Thanks for video.
Dawg they didn't build ANYTHiNG
What software is that?
My train doesn't stop at East Richmond because I'm on the Caulfield group, on which trains run via Not East Richmond
my only memory of them was "Bayside trains would like to apologise for..."
The lack of extra tracks on the the Pakenham line sees V/Line services get stuck between Flinders Street and Pakenham, which has more than negated the increased speed of the V/Locity sets. The timetabled trip is 1 hour for a 60km track length, but the actual time is closer to 1:15.
Its been a while since this video released, i gotta say some things We got the airport line we also got lakelands station and the yanchep extention and the C series is releasing!
Route 58 will return to Park St and Domain Road when the metro tunnel opens. The Anzac precinct development plan shows new tram stops at the corner of Domain Road and St Kilda road, with a metro entrance on the corner as well.
Surely the Box Hill-Doncaster electric tramway was the first electric tramway in Melbourne?
NICE PIPE DREAM KID
real honestly
Your dedication is admirable.
Thank you so much for this informative video! I was planning to participate in a seminar at ANU and this video really give the needed information about the city’s light rail system
Random fact, at 5:02 the Comeng train (393M-1048T-394M) is the train that ran away from broadmeadows in 2003
Hi metro man, I did not see anything about the old tram line that ran down bay St Port Melbourne..I think it was a cable car...please add
Loved it my dad was the last tram to go off the tracks for mmtb at Essendon depot before pt I have lots of photos and dad let me drive the tram up Mathew ave when l was a kid ❤😮
3:56 check out that mobile phone, this dates the video more than the dialogue!
I❤Perth terima kaseh
Re the route 58, the old Park st tracks have been reconnected at the Anzac station end and extra turning tracks provided. However, if trams were to use Park St again, it would mean the route 58 trams would not directly service Anzac station.
I remember my old Dad, speaking about those old open sided cable trams, & in sure he called them 'toast racks' I guess because of the design. I wish I paid more attention about this stuff when he was around. But, you know, kids 😮💨
ah-voe-ca, oh-yen, eye-rim-pool
hello, metro. I see that you are a trainways dev that has banned a user named 'sydneycoolkhan10123' for exploiting, they were for a long time evading it with their alt 'coolkhan5020' and they just got unbanned recently. I would like you to look into this issue, thanks.
at first i thougt the title said "the connex life extension project" 💀
5:56 c series 😍
Don't need to a rocket scientist, a track duplication would be a idea.
There is now.
There was some great footage on here of the black tram but has been removed for some reason
V/Line Melbourne Metro Trams
Let's don't forget the extension of the Cranbourne line, the line needs to be extended to Clyde because of the amount residential and industrial development is happening, and the tracks and reservation is still in place from when trains used to travel to Gippsland.
Yeah it needs to be built, however, I can't see how the fly over Eastlink can be done without disrupting traffic along Wellington Road and Eastlink, both roadways may have to be closed. I have noticed that there's space over the Monash Freeway.
Another great video MMM well done Ian Nosworthy 8:56
The Cranbourne line needs to be extended, the residents of Clyde and Clyde North are crying out for it, and the track reservation is still in place when it was the line that was once the to Gippsland.
Growing up in the 50's In the western suburbs Footscray/ Yarraville Our Tram's were a great way to travel especially for those who did not drive Always caught my tram from the corner of Williamstown Rd & Somerville Rd. To shop in Footscray. They were always on time. ( Great Memories ) Of the past.
If it were to be an up up down down they could have cross platform transfers
A great little video.
You have got to joking The government is doing everything it can to reduce the rail network NOT increase it they are spending millions on the underground stations not that anyone would use them after dark particular if you are female
This is just incorrect - the current government for all its flaws is at the very least conducting some expansion of the rail network with the likes of the Suburban Rail Loop and Metro Tunnel and has already built new rail lines to Mernda for example.
Comeng may have been reliable trains but their seats were designed for children making them the least comfortable trains on the network. I for one cannot wait till they are all gone.
Man MetroManMelbourne sounded so much younger than him now
it's amazing how time has flown since these early videos...
Excellent video. I love Melbourne trams! Take a cut lunch and hot thermos for a cuppa.
Why do some of the Hitachi motor cars have Faiveley pantographs while others have diamond pantographs Were the pantographs changed during the modifications to the cab
They could possibly go with this project instead if they cancel the suburban rail loop project.
2024 anyone?
🤗😤🫠😳😥😡😐😮💨💀😮💨☠️🫳🏿🫳🏿🫳🏿
Started a new job a few weeks ago and this is the closest station, such a pain in the arse. Enjoyed the video.
Risson was a good soldier. Attacked where he could. Made necessary tactical retreats like with the Geelong tram network which he had to sacrifice and then used psychological warfare as seen with citizen tram. Meant he could arm twist Sir Henry Bolte, a man who went through his political life with near impunity into agreeing that the Melbourne tram network would endure.
The Elsternwick Point Irmond Tram Line was actually pulled up in 1963 - remember watching the workmen doing this standing at the fence facing Glenhuntly Road during lunch whilst in first year at Elwood Primary School
This service has been mooted for many years, but successive liberal governments ( Bolte / Hamer ) spent sweet FA on infrastructure as far as rail was concerned, now a few Labor governments have failed in this matter. The area has had huge growth over the years but nothing has happened
Metro must've seen your video - the train timetable display were updated just last week haha! though seems like they've upgraded few more stops on that line since the one at Hawthorn has been updated as well.
Maybe East Richmond station will get an upgrade when apartments are built over it.
like box hill or eaglemont?
@@mineyon-ms yes, precisely.
