Building A Massive Firewood Storage Shed
This video has been percolating since 2020 when we built this massive, lean-to style shed to store firewood. Our shed has four separate bays and holds over six cords of firewood. I wanted to wait until the shed was completely full before I released the video, and here we are, four years later! Turns out this thing holds A LOT of firewood!

How To Build A Bedroom Closet
Переглядів 5 тис.6 місяців тому
In this video, Mrs CityBilly and I build a bedroom closet for my mom and her husband Wally. Wally is preparing his house to be sold, and he has a spare room that he wants to convert into a bedroom to increase the list price. To be considered a "bedroom", a room needs a window and a closet. Mrs CityBilly and I framed and drywalled the new closet, painted, and added a shelf and bi-fold doors. Get...

How To Build A Simple 4x8 Outfeed Assembly Table

Part 1 of how I built a 4x8 outfeed / assembly table using construction lumber. This table could be fine just the way it is, but in future videos I'll be adding dust collection, a router table, drawer storage, and more! In this video, I mill down some 2x6s I've had laying around to build the frame. I attach locking caster wheels to the base, then add a laminated top with contact cement and Form...

Draining Our Pond With A PVC Siphon And A Trash Pump
Empty my pond 🎉🎉🎉 thank you for the info
Rip rap both sides so erosion doesn’t take out your downstream edge…hardface upstream with larger rock too
I'm hoping to eventually add another section or two of pipe on the downstream side. After that I'll beef up the erosion control
very cool! Im trying to figure out how best to make an Office/Bar. I have limited space in my boat. This gives me some ideas.
Thanks! Good luck!

Tank you@@CityBillyAdventures
Hey, I am in Ohio as well and I am finally going to do the culvert bridge to open up my back acres to vehicle traffic. This is a great visual of my idea, I am going to use a 36" pipe and the ground is closer to level but other than that pretty much the same steps. Hope it all worked out. Subscribed.
So far ours is holding up great! It's been awesome being able to access the property beyond our creek. Good luck with your project 🤙 #OhioAgainstTheWorld
Ya that muddy bottom is no joke. When I was a kid, went swimming in a small lake dove down then pushed off the bottom. My legs sunk in the bottom up to my knees, had the damndest time working my legs out, damn near drowned. I can still "feel" that freaking cold mud my legs sunk into. If you're at a lake swimming make sure you tell everyone don't push off the bottom and why they shouldn't. Really surprised someone hasn't done a documentary on this danger.
Watching this made me realise I don’t have the time for this shit and I need to call a professional 😂
Most projects just boil down to the time investment and if it's worth it to you or not
I use dog food in my bait trap. Works great, seems to last a little longer than bread or other soft food items.
We've graduated to using dog food too! Holds up way longer
Just another pocket hole video. What a junked up shop, can't say much for the house either.
Wow, so kind 🧌
@@CityBillyAdventures 🤪
What was out the door cost to complete the project? We are looking to do the same exact thing
The pipe alone was $3k. Other materials/equipment + labor was another $4k so $7k total. Saved a bunch by having the fill dirt on hand already
How deep did you drill your holes into the brick?
4 inches
nice job on the video! I love a good diy project. Congrats on getting the family involved. Happy woodchucking.
Thanks!
How deep was the pond onve completed?
About 12 feet in the deepest areas. I wanted to go deeper but that would be more complicated - going through the clay layer and then re-packing the clay when we got to our desired depth
@@CityBillyAdventures thanks for the update. Did you use bentonite to help seal the bottom?
No, the pond bottom seemed to be in good shape so we left it alone
Why my water keep poring in to the pond , from the top ?😢
looking good my friend :)
Me or the woodshed?? Either way, thanks!
I can’t believe this video has so less views. You guys are great 👍
Thanks! I was really hoping this video would take off... Maybe someday 🤞
Didn't plan on watching all of one video let alone 3. But here we are. Really interesting process and fun videos!
Thanks for watching!
I love the bed and the ending was very entertaining.
Thanks!
"Knowing me, I'd screw it up ..." Man after my own heart. Know your limitations. ❤
Won't the geothetmal coils warm the water in the summer and cool it in the winter?
The fluid in the coils hovers around 50° all the time. The water at the bottom of the pond doesn't fluctuate quite as much as the surface temp either.
Wondering. Is there any concern about wood movement and splitting with the vertical pieces in the head and foot boards?
A couple of the vertical boards in the headboard shrank slightly and created some small gaps. One of the nice things about the "rustic farmhouse" look is all that just adds a little character
Nice video, I just had this done on my property with a 48 in culvert. I was really happy to have access to my back field. It made a way where there was no way (just like Christ did for us 😊)!
Yes it's awesome to finally be able to access "new" parts of the property
Was this for a queen or king sized bed
This was for a king, but the measurements can be adjusted to fit any mattress size
This was awesome - thank you! You made it so easy to follow. I have full faith that we can do this too :)

ITS ME AGAIN!
Need more length or drop on suction side or reduce suction side diameter
"Need more length" If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that
Destructive losers
Ducks like the to be shallow about 16" is great for duck pond
Nicely done
Thanks!
I have done the same thing. Was gonna mention why I use the black ones then you hit on the people taking them which is why I chooses black. One of the best baits I've found in Ohio is a slice of bologna or a hot dog. I put them in ponds, they don't reproduce but I have caught some in the pond two years after putting them in they get gigantic.
Nice. We go out pretty often, we've never tried hot dogs but we will next time! We're gonna be putting out another video like this one soon
@@CityBillyAdventures I believe you could probably get them to reproduce for your pond but it would be expensive, would depend on convenience. Fabricate a sand and gravel creek with a pump to create current, make it so bigger fish can't get into the creek. Not sure how long that creek would need to be. But, if you have the time and money, it would be an interesting experiment
I fish at one of the lakes below
Those 2 lake are good fishing
Trout lake and sheen lake
Mesh and Tiger work great too. We never did the dark on top, light on bottom. But i am going to have to try this since it looks so great.
Thanks! The dark on top light on bottom is an idea I borrowed from retired Navy SEAL Mark "Coch" Cochiolo. Lots of animals in the wild have this color pattern to help them blend in with their surroundings. Think of a deer, with a dark brown back and white belly.
@@CityBillyAdventures Interesting source. And well articulated. Thinking about it, even aquatic like such as Sharks are also colored this way. Makes sense to me.
Using sleep token for the music🤌🏽
I'd use them for all my videos but then I'd lose all revenue. Worship.
That's exactly what I needed to learn
This gun is TH000000000000LL
I SEE THE GODS AVERT THEIR GAZE FROM ME!!!! (Comment the rest of the lyrics im starting a chain lol)
Great song!!🤘
Worship. 🤘
I'm definitely going to make this bed. My son wanted to wrestle like yall did in the video my one from Amazon is broke🤣
@@joshuawilson1184 it's much more sturdy than anything on Amazon!
Personally I would avoid painting the barrel and grip. Mostly the barrel because if the barrel gets hot it could burn the paint and release god knows what kind of super synthetic aids only a few feet away from your face. Probably not a big issue as some would consider a shiny bare metal barrel getting you picked off by a sniper to be higher in the list of priorities than a slight risk of lung cancer.
Don't paint the pistol grip..😂
Was not expecting sleep token lmao
They're amazing
Looks just like mine. Except I used mesh instead of foliage. Nice.
I dont use clear coat but nice
Thanks! Clearcoat is probably overkill but I figured it couldn't hurt
@CityBillyAdventures Nah I mean if you want it last longer than yeah I'd do it but I know my indecisive ass will probably strip and re-paint mine like 4 times before I'm satisfied lmao
Thats fucking badass! I was just watching a video on why you don't want a black rifle and thought to myself, i should learn how to paint mine. Good shit!
Thanks! Your username cracked me up BTW haha
Don’t listen to that dumb stuff about a black gun lol
@@CityBillyAdventures This paint looks actually petty cool ,and it works . Could you please tell me ,what is the model and the brand of your rifle , I think I need to get this nice gun as well
If I’m gonna coat my guns I’m gonna use powder coat,
That involves putting them in a oven some components might melt!
Hydro drip 100% better
i usually use a spray gun and compressor
Bruh I’m gonna send you my Daniel
Try spraying it yourself. Cool thing is if you don't like it, just try again. The outer layers will wear away and expose the older paint but I think it looks cool that way
☝️ I couldn't agree more. If you're going for a functional camo, this is the best way. A little wear isn't gonna expose you. There's "fashion" camo paint jobs but that's purely for looks
