Goal is to have another source of income for the short term 4-7 years to boost the ability to invest into the tried and true ETFs and single stocks that will outlive me. It works though. As someone with a small amount of capital, I've been able to add a few hundred dollars of extra income every month. Could hit an extra $1k or more next month.

If you understand cover calls guy there is no way MSTY can drop more than MSTR. Look at the percentage every day when MSTR drop and see that MSTY drop less. As of Jan 31 MSTR dropped 1.56% and MSTY dropped 0.92%. So if you buy MSTR thinking that you are safe... you are not. MSTY also hold a lot of goverment very safe assets. In my case as a dividend investor only MSTY will be between 5 to 10% of my portfolio.

The share count reduction with AXP is incredible. I was just thinking about bonds yesterday and how the highest, safe yield I could find was 6.2%, meanwhile AXP and banks can have loan yields of 20% or more.

The dividend is less than 1%, and there is currently no upside. While this may be a very safe place to stash your money, this investment does not excite me right now.

AX is only good when there is no disputes with your travel booking or purchases. When problems presents, they will forward your calls to India or some strange 3rd world country where your pleading is never heard. Sold their stocks and cancel their card definitely made my life easier.

Pro tip - pay the fee in year one and thereafter call them when the annual payment appears and say you're going to cancel the card. Viola. Fee waived thank you for your business.

Can't go wrong with AXP, MA, V, GS, JPM. They all make great money from us

Owning the S&P 500 is basically equivalent to owning a diversified, market-cap-weighted basket of “recruiters” from Squid Game. And it turns out, betting on the recruiters is very profitable. To the tune of about 11% per year! It’s a great dichotomy to contemplate. Do you want to be the guy swiping the credit card and buying the lottery ticket? Or the company that profits from the credit card interest and rents the building to the 7-11 selling the lottery tickets? And whichever side you take, know you’re perpetuating the system that essentially relies on consumers making bad financial decisions and unhealthy choices for their bodies (VS, MC, BOA, PFE, PEP, MO, etc.) Definitely thought provoking! Ethical dilemmas we all struggle with.

I maxed my Roth into Msty last year started with 25k+7500 contributions for the year with dividends reinvested and selling calls my Roth is at 137k if that even does half as good this next year it’s still going to more than double my plan is to focus on msty until my monthly income is double that original 25k then move dividends reinvested to SCHD

Very interesting. If you zoom out 5 years this fund is on par with most growth etfs. But different criteria and slightly higher expense ratio.

LOL - this guy is a BTC/MSTR/MSTY BEAR and everyone in the comments is saying they're buying MSTY. I have 50% BTC;45% MSTR;5% MSTY

MSTY have not gone through a bitcoin bear cycle yet, hard to say what it will do in a 4 year cycle. I suspect their strategy would not generate as much premium during a bear cycle, that may cause people to sell out of their positions which drops the share price. However, bitcoin cycle comes back and the share price will eventually go up again and the cycle starts over. Question is does the fund have a strategy to wither the bear cycle? If so, a 5-10 year investment time horizon might pay off big. Say you manage to accumulate 50k shares over 5 years. When the next bull cycle comes around, that could be something. Now whether or not the fund will operate that long yet to be proven.
