The share count reduction with AXP is incredible. I was just thinking about bonds yesterday and how the highest, safe yield I could find was 6.2%, meanwhile AXP and banks can have loan yields of 20% or more.
AX is only good when there is no disputes with your travel booking or purchases. When problems presents, they will forward your calls to India or some strange 3rd world country where your pleading is never heard. Sold their stocks and cancel their card definitely made my life easier.
The dividend is less than 1%, and there is currently no upside. While this may be a very safe place to stash your money, this investment does not excite me right now.
Pro tip - pay the fee in year one and thereafter call them when the annual payment appears and say you're going to cancel the card. Viola. Fee waived thank you for your business.
What do you think about American Express? Is it in your wallet?

How are saying there is no upside when they expect earnings to continue to grow?
@@citizenoftheyearCC I look at the 12-month target price on Yahoo Finance and MSN Money.
