I notice one little thing you do not do is the final white fleck in the eye…to “bring it to life” as I hear other artists say. Certainly not criticizing…adore your work! Just wondering what your thoughts were in that .

Great tips! My first love is and will always be watercolor. Yet for so long I have been starting sketching en plein air and then stopping. It is such a special experience for me, but I guess my dissatisfaction with the results sooner or later stops me from enjoying it. I think that the idea of getting in touch with my inner child and letting her sketch in the sketchbook will be extremely helpful to me. Thank you so much! Last, but not least, your cat is gorgeous!

GREAT video!!! You are sooooooo right about letting go of trying to be perfect all the time & comparing yourself to others. We all have our own uniqueness that sets us apart. I compare this example to music. As a guitarist, I get compared to jazz/fusion guitarist Al DiMeola & Carlos Santana, and, although they are a HUGH influence, I still have my own voice because I am me, like wise to art, we are who we are, so I really do like these videos because it's so down to earth, you are a GREAT Inspiration!!! Letting go and just having fun is my hardest one for me to do. I start off thinking, okay, let's just have fun and sketch, but then I start over thinking things, and that's when my art ends up not as loose as I'd like it to be. I also need to be practicing more regularly and less YT video watching. 😆 I look forward to watching your urban sketching videos. Thank you for the excellent tips.
