I am going to enjoy watching how this grows as a piece 😊 I struggle with layers, I am learning not to, but it is still an effort at times to get my brain to realise that layers really do not need to make any sense at all and that their whole mission in life is to be eventually covered over.
I used to really struggle with layers and when to stop painting. You are right, they don't need to make sense at all. I think that is why I love layering in my art, it is so much fun once you get the hang of it. Thanks for watching!
Apart from oil paint and acrylic, I use everything I have. Although the acrylic thing isn't true anymore. I treated myself to acrylic markers. It's so much fun to play around with everything. Try things out. I always like it when texture is created. And again, I was able to learn so much from your video. Thank you very much!
This is. AWESOME Krista. Since I'm kinda starting back in my art journey, I like to use anything from acrylic paint to soft pastels, to oil pastels, to color pencils & more, even woodburning (aka, pyrography) the sky really is the limit. What I like about what you do is the 'Improvation' of art, because it's that moment in time, like the fusion music I play, improv because it's a moment in time, & to me, that's true art. Thanks for the Inspiration, too bad you're not down here in SW Florida, I think your art would do quite well down here, & would be cool to meet you & see your art in person, we have Art Walk downtown Ft Myers, & I usually play at it. Keep On Creating, Rock On & God Bless.
It is definitely an intuitive way of creating, no thinking allowed, just creating in the moment. Super fun to get all the art supplies out and see what you can do.
It's transparant when it's see through. Opaque is not see through. 😊
Thank you, great demo!
LOL it is hard to just talk to a camera like I am talking to people and sometimes I make mistakes. ✨🤷

Someone I was watching paint said…… The bottom layers get covered but I know they’re there 😂 I love that !!
I love that! ❤️ Mixed media is just winging it and figuring it all out as you go.
