Wow! I loved listening to him!!! I served a mission in Ashland, Wisconsin. We taught a tribe leader from the Ondina tribe. He told us that the garden of Eden was in the central U.S.

Ok, this is random, but I am going to share it anyway. Have you seen Sir Peter Jackson’s, “The Hobbit”? In it one of the dwarves, Kili, has a stone, very similar to these stones. In short, he shares that it is a reminder of a promise that he made to his mother to return home. What if these stones were like talisman, that you could buy, or even ask to get made for you? It could explain where there are some for Christians and some for those who are not.

So many things, all I can say is…wow. This work is the gathering of Israel, and the Evil One is going to fight it every step with every weapon he can muster, and if he can take down some church members in the process, win for him. I taught Indian Lore merit badge in the Boy Scouts for nearly thirty years. The misunderstanding is so rampant!! My first wife was Cherokee, from Oklahoma. I had to fight to try to get our kids recognized, following their matriarchal lineage. Her parents were not registered. Her grandfather had passed away so he couldn’t testify. It’s a messed up system. There’s no such system to verify that my lineage is Polish (from Krakow!) and Saami. The Saami I have no documentation on… nothing beyond about 1950…it was all burned by the Wehrmacht. People have no clue what they’re saying. For LDS people especially, for anyone who has questions, Moroni told us how to know, and modern Prophets reiterate it: pray and study it out and the Holy Spirit will help testify. If I were to advise, I would say, do not concern yourself with criticism nor from where it comes. If indeed your call is divinely inspired, then of course there will be opposition. Most likely from where it is least expected. Chief Medigah, I believe there has been a sea change in the restoration that is subtle but real. Rhetoric has moved from "Take the gospel to all the earth" to "Gather Israel on both sides of the veil." I believe the change signifies the "days of the gentiles" have been fulfilled and now the promises in Isaiah for the Abraham's seed to be gathered is being fulfilled at last. I have been looking for the records of the many peoples broken off from Jerusalem to come forth. Your story specifically fulfills Alma 37:4. "4 Behold, it has been prophesied by our fathers, that they should be kept and handed down from one generation to another, and be kept and preserved by the hand of the Lord until they should go forth unto every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, that they shall know of the mysteries contained thereon. Brian, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! Words are important. You appropriately used the word, "murder." Dennis Prager states in Exodus, his wonderful book from The Rational Bible series, that in the Torah, the 6th commandment prohibits murder, not killing. There is a difference. Murder is the immoral killing of a human being. If the Ten Commandments forbad killing (the taking of human life under any circumstance), then killing in self-defense would be forbidden. It would be forbidden to kill someone who was in the process of shooting a hundred schoolchildren. Jesus, who was completely innocent, was murdered.

This needs to be a melding moment. A coming together. Much like when the Nephites discovered "the Mulekites" were upon the land also, yet each believed the same things.They were joyful!! One of the Michigan Artifacts depicts a solar eclipse and meteor shower. About 350 AD is a good fit for Nephites in Michigan. On the NASA website, there was a solar eclipse that went over southern Michigan and peaked over Lima, OH on 27 July 352 AD.

To be Ojibwe , first you have to think Ojibwe , I am Ojibwe and I have never heard of an Ojibwe practicing Mormon , I have been to Canada and have never heard Anishinaabe say people here are not Anishinaabe , and we do not look at them that way either , so I don't know where that comes from . I understand that the Dialect can be different from Tribe to Tribe , but our stories of the past are also different . I don't know why other religious groups are always trying to change us , we don't try to change them , To know the Language is a good thing but you must also think like an Ojibwe . One more thing , when you are learning to join Midewi or Midewiwin you are NOT allowed to have two religions , because your heart is not pure .

We are not nor have we ever been Christian or any other foreign religion by choice . Although some of my people did covert to Christianity out of fear or force in there hearts they are still Ojibwe . The Christian religion is relatively new here , if you look back at our people over the last 20,000 years Christianity arrived here less than 400 years ago and like all foreign religions , they are trying to change us still to this day . There are those of us who are strong and have not and will not allow other cultures to change our beliefs , we are accepting of other people but we do not push our beliefs on them , it is not our place to do that . If they have Gichi-manidoo in their hearts than they are on the right path .

I have heard the derision in the voice of members towards anyone who is not lock step with the approved version of the "covenant path" Here are some mind control phrases: The prophet will never lead you astray (not scriptural), when the prophet speaks, the thinking is over (what about Moroni 10?), doubt your doubts (if the Holy Ghost is going to show you truth, you will have doubts about the path you are on), your strengths can become your weakness (if it's out of the ordinary and not in the handbook) Talking evil about your leaders, the doctrine, the church is deserving of excommunication (yet that is what Christ did all day long). The scriptures are full of the testimony that the Gentile church would reject what they had been given. And most will not know what I'm even talking about because the goal posts have been moved so we don't even know we are missing. The plain and precious parts removed from the Bible, restored by the Book of Mormon are again obscured by the precepts of men that are being taught in the church. And so God gives us what we were willing to receive and allows us to stumble. But records like what Chief Midegah has will be a third witness , the third pole that will steady the teepee. The arrogance shown him, the Brethren ignoring him, is tantamount to stoning the prophets.

Also damning is the idea that "We have it all and we need no more" READ 2 Nephi 28 and Moroni 8. The bookend testimonies of us of the restoration. Watch what is done rather than what is said. Re listen to conference and note how many times the talks are a self soothing encouragement to keep doing things that require your tithing money. Find out where that money is being used. See if you are in agreement. I would have never been able to shake the deception without the Lord being the one to show me. And even all that I have said here is taboo because you are not to speak evil of your leaders. I am not speaking evil of them. I am saying God showed me Jeremiah 23, Isaiah 28 and Matthew 23 applied to them (yes I was shocked). The reason the sealed portion is still closed, the reason JST is not integrated fully into our scriptures, the reason we have not sought to reclaim the Jews, The reason college offers a class called "Teachings of President Nelson", rather than How to seek the face of the Lord, is telling. We neither seek his face or even know what that means or why we should bother even though it is all over the Book of Mormon and Bible, hence, the spanking coming. We have been taught "The temple the temple" as if that is the pinnacle. But it is a shadow of the real thing. How do you think God feels watching us focus on attendance like that alone sanctifies us, without actually coming to him and being healed? We are no better than the ancient Israelites who thought doing their ordinances saved them without remembering that the Law of Moses was a tool to bring them to Christ. So Chief Midegah, your frustration is valid. You have come to a hard hearted and blind people who "see but see not, who hear, but hear not." We have all the truth, all the authority buttoned up in a nice neat package. And we have "no room for more." John the Baptist ran into that same attitude with the Pharisees. They were claiming they alone had the authority to make someone a child of Abraham. And John said, "of these stones God can raise children to Abraham". So we can't put God in a box, we shouldn't make all these extra requirements to receive salvation (pay tithing, word of wisdom, etc.) Because Salvation is free. I look forward to the rise of the Lamanites and the Great and Marvelous Work that is about to happen.

the cross can also mean covenant. In paleo Hebrew, the symbol "tav" is depicted as two sticks crossing each other, thus forming a cross. The symbol predates the crucifix or the Christian portrayal of the cross, by hundreds of years.

How do you know they are nephites?

I much appreciate your work on the Burrows cave artifacts. Among the artifacts, there are various images of a volcano with the sawtooth "water" symbol in front of it. This is showing a volcano that erupted in shallow water next to a long-lost island. This iconography is present among numerous American cultures as it was an exceptionally important event.
