In the winter of 2024 major College Football will stage its first-ever 12-team Playoff.
That may sound straightforward, but it is not. This 155 year old sport didn’t crown a winner for most of its history. So why are they now?
This is an explanation of why the new College Football Playoffs are so complicated.

Reminded of a video about aluminum baseball bats that were much more powerful after repeated use
They're an abomination from the devil himself. Absolute awful gimmick. Just a way to charge tracks higher host fees via more ticket sales on Fridays. Also something cooked up by C suite execs cause 'young consumers have little attention span' as a way to appeal to the new DTS Netflix fans...even though most of them hate it too.
Missed a "C" in "practice"
It's not a terrible idea but I do feel bad for the teams who suffer damage in the sprint races - repairs cost time and money. A critically damaged car from the sprint race might not have time to be fixed before the Grand Prix where points go down to tenth instead.
The United Kingdom of NIMBYs
It had its teething problems, but I think they perfected it last season, by getting it out of the way before the main Grand Prix qualifying and race itself. However, unless the conditions are completely different between the sprint and main race, all the sprint does is give us more of an idea of what to expect in the race.
Bats these days are "pre-prepared" but a manufacturer will typically advise oiling and knocking before use.
I still remember getting excited about the New Years Day bowl games back in the day. Cotton, Fiesta, Rose, Sugar, and Orange bowls all in one day. Some of those games stick in my mind more than the recent playoff games.
the argonauts have 19 grey cups not 25.
I got too lazy so new solution just middle every ball, I'm a junior player but play at a senior level
I thought the problem was gonna be that the bullet came back down and killed someone one time!
As a new englander it was a culture shock realizing how big college football actually was
It looks ugly for the rangers plus they’re such a cheap organization. WS is a Fluke
I doubt sound speed makes a difference at those distances, even for elite athletes
That 3rd down rule is why i hate watching it. They are always punting. Always. That sport is pure garbage.
Wait so you buy a cricket bat and you don't get a finished product?... what is this the video game industry?
In the photo he was also wearing sweat pants
.... what a bizarre way to organise a sport
Why not use a harder wood? Is the "softness" of this wood useful for the core and general structure of the bat?
Why not jsut use birch...or ash...or maple like baseball bats use... Harder wood means more durable
My old cricket coach used to have a cricket ball screwed into a stick that he would lend us to knock our bats with.
Many ppl actually use don’t hit it by manual mode. We use the ball in sock hanging to practice shots. Or use a spinner to practice actual balls.
People protest for anything.
yeah, why should they be forced to follow the legally binding agreement that was signed, you're right
Baltimore is the only city to win a Super Bowl, World Series, and a Grey Cup.
funny enough, you could make a press that just presses all of it😂
So did Jason Hayward get one?
yes
Willow is a hardwood. However, it is soft. There's a difference.
I know this is a short and the information is always limited, but using right and left for offside and legside isn't good because the sides change when the batter isn't righthanded Similarly, the ball can hit any part of the body, not just the protective padding on the legs
really bad for the ecosystem to make one bat from a whole tree😢
Wimbledon desperately needs to move with the times.
That mean the makers are lazy
How do we save money on the creation of this product? Answer: Leave the consumer to complete the manufacturing process. Scammed 😂
I always used a cricket ball on a stick
Lbw is the reason to invent hawking system Which further inspired other sports like var in football
Willow is hardwood
A softwood isn't necessarily a soft wood just the same as hardwood aren't necessarily hard woods
In this case, willow is a soft hardwood. 😂😂😂
What is the difference then?
@@askia8704Hardwood comes from deciduous trees
"The goalposts are at the front of the endzone." Oh cool, like the NFL did until the 70s. "The field is 110 yards with 12 men to a side." Huh, neat quirk! I bet play calling is different with an extra player! "Touchbacks give the kicking team one point." HERESY
Back when the sticks were wooden players would do this. But with the fiberglass sticks now you cant
imagine being on the team that wins the world seris and then traded to the team that lost the world seris
Sometimes I ask myself “why does spring and summer football exist?”
They used to make the young ones do this hence the term Batty boy
i just hit my bat on to the wall
Also if a kick clears the end zone but doesn’t go through the uprights, it’s also a Rouge
Ok, yes willow is soft compared to other woods but it's classed as a hardwood. Being a softwood or hardwood actually has nothing to do with how soft or hard the wood is. Yew is very hard, but actually a softwood. Balsa is very soft but actually a hardwood
You didn't answer the question
that's a lie. the 5 millisecond differential doesn't matter.
