Great to see a bit of American sports history! I’d love to see something about the 1st NASL season, when American cities just imported entire teams from other countries. I know the history of Glentoran becoming the Detroit Cougars for a summer but would love to know more about the league
@@mkewl209 If the owners of the Oregon team had spent some money on a proper set of boards instead of a rodeo fence with padding thinner than a wrestling mat, and gotten a proper set of goalposts (instead of having a middle school shop class buid some lopsided ones), perhaps they might still have had a team. But then again, the whole league was a scam from the start, run by a commissioner who was a tenth-class con man. (When your most stable franchise is located in BILLINGS, MONTANA -- which is my home town, BTW -- it would appear you have some problems.)
@@georgehenan853 nah see normally when you start a team they aren't in a meaningful league they have to start at the bottom and work their way up but you dont get that in the States.
"we don't deserve to be in the playoffs" is so funny
Imagine if the Seahawks had said that in 2010.
Not only that, still completely on brand for a team named the Chicago
Fire.
You know you're screwed when you can't even afford to buy enough sports tape to get through a single game
Glad to hear Joe Devine has made his way here
Please do a PLL lacrosse video

Fantastic! I hope this becomes a TV series
If you think the World League was a disaster, check out what happened when they tried to resurrect the Arena Football League this year.
Agreed. As someone who was hoping to go to a game, I was surprised after two weeks Oregon just didn't have a team.

You'd think Le Man 1955 would be the worst disaster. Over 200 casualties
Sometimes I ask myself “why does spring and summer football exist?”
Hopefully you guys get to do a video on the CFL one of these days, super underrated and history rich league!
When are we seeing more cricket long videos
in America you need money to start a team, in the rest of the world you need people
Clearly you aren’t familiar with psg and man city.
What? You need money to start a team in any meaningful sports league in the world. What are you smoking

@@ThomasDonnelly1888the states also have 'meaningless leagues'
@@dyll1187 yeah good luck getting promoted out of them
Huh, Pretty Cool, Eh?
Bit of a tone deaf title given the number of sporting stadium disasters that have led to huge loss of life.
Even Aussie rules is such a better sport than hand egg. Something about money. Move over Heysel, some rich guy's poor ambitions and feelings eh.
