Welcome to our channel. We are artist development specialists, delivering coaching and courses for independent music artists. If you want to release music, build a fanbase and create career success, you’ve found the right place.
We are Sean McDermott and James Brister, and have over 35 years of joint experience in the music industry. We established the artist management company Amour Music in 2012 and continue to manage a varied roster of artists, songwriters, and producers.

That's a very difficult question to answer properly. There is too much to explain and consider in a short message. But also, any answer will need to reflect your cicumstances, talent, current progress and vision. Sorry I cannot give you a clear answer. Yes, this is a pillar of good marketing for all of the reasons you explained. And, for God's sake, if someone gives you their email address, you MUST email. They're expecting it. Don't just collect email addresses and sit on them. Make sending an email a part of your regular routine. Whether it's once a month or once a week, just start. And don't always ask your audience to do something, email when life is just ticking along. Bring them into your world.

Absolutely love this video. it is so well explained, ideas well structured, and your videos seem to have this more global perspective than just tackling randomly a few topics here and there in a disorganized way. I am someone who loves Pop music but also love different styles in the pop music. therefore it becomes very difficult to know what direction to take but this video will help me, hopefully, re centering myself back to the foundation before moving forward with marketing strategies etc. and I really love when you make us realize that Sonic identity is even more crucial for emerging artist with no or few audience. Where do I find my audiences or how to find them? I just make music
This is a large topic, and there are many aspects and strategies, but a good starting place is the existing audiences of other artists. Look for artists that will likely have an audience who will be interested in your music as well. You can then consider which of these artists are slightly ahead of you with their success, as they will be operating in areas of the industry that you are aiming for, such as support shows, promoters, labels, etc. All the best.

Hey just because a producer is working with a artist doesn't mean they are recording them too, just putting that out there, there may be an engineer and the engineer may help with the song too, i know i do as a producer and engineer
Thanks for your comment. We have situations similar to what you have mentioned with the producer/songwriters we manage. If the producer is not recording the artist, and is only a co-writer on a song, then we don't need the type of producer agreement we discuss in this video.
