Upgrading Rear Diffuser and First OBDeleven Mods!

This is the 5th video about my new project car, the Seat Leon Cupra 2019 model. In this episode I am installing the aftermarket rear "diffuser" from Rieger and I am also sharing all OBDeleven mods I have applied so far.
From this experience I can tell that this component gives the car a more-aggressive look and I believe there is no such functionality as a "diffuser". Perhaps I should create a custom REAL diffuser, although taking advantage of its capabilities can be done at very high speeds? Let's see...

Maybe the Maxton design would be a better fit but a little less aggressive in the looks department compared to the Reiger

Hi was geht! Thanks for your question! What I meant to say is that the Rieger diffuser will provide a more aggressive look to the rear end of this car but I doubt it will be of any aerodynamic advantage (I haven’t tested it) as there is a noticeable gap between the rear muffler and the diffuser that can create air-pressure at high speeds. The aim of a rear diffuser is to help escape the air beneath your car, improving the overall downforce (the car sticks to the ground). A rear diffuser usually ends towards the middle of the vehicle and is used in combination with a front splitter/diffuser. The flatter the vehicle’s bottom, the more aerodynamic advantage you will gain. This advantage is noticeable at high speeds, not on a daily drive. Also, lowering the car might help (shorter air-gap between the car and the road, more air-pressure/speed is generated). A few years ago, I helped developing a front/rear diffuser kit for a Caterham (UK MSVR Championship) and that thing was simple and huge! We made it adjustable, so it could be tuned depending on the track.
