That's correct. Samsung called it the Edge bar and OpenPlus calls it the Smartbar. My point is that the OnePlus UI utilizes it better.

@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 That's subjective. Samsung's does not integrate AI in their panel save for circle to search and AI sketch. It's used for productivity and Oneplus, along with most cell phone companies, have taken the concept from Samsung along with multiwindow, etc. I don't want the edge panel to do what Oneplus' smartbar does. It's not better because it is something completely different, so why are you comparing them?

@mikelthewug I'm comparing ease of use and time saving. It's all about personal preference. If someone prefers Samsung's way of doing things that's their choice. It's good to know that no one manufacturer has an exclusive on AI even though Samsung and Apple would have you believe that they do.

You're correct. I acknowledge that in the video. The three dots option is not available when reading email, but it is available on the OnePlus Open side bar. The same is true with other apps that don't have built-in readers.

Okay, I found that two things are needed before it will show you the AI Speak and AI Summary. First off, you have to make sure you have the latest software update for Oxygen. I only updated it that day that I filmed this and it showed up. Secondly, the article has to be completely opened up before it will show that on the sidebar. I believe most likely in your case, you just need to make sure that the system is updated. I'm in the US. It may be different in another country. Let me know if you're able to get it to work. 👍

I'm anxiously awaiting the OnePlus open 2 and lets hope for some good tradein deals! It would be nice to have deals like Samsung, but they have to give great incentives for such a mediocre phone🤔😄

If I decide to go with best buy, I have almost four hundred dollars in rewards, money from purchasing an appliance that I would use and it expires 3/22 so I was just curious.

This is true but the accessibility option could get annoying if you have to leave it on all the time. And it's not quite as accurate as the AI assistant.

@@vivavibes If you like the Bluetooth S-Pen you may want to save some money and go for a S24U. Although, you may want to wait a couple days, I'm hearing rumors Samsung is selling a Bluetooth S-Pen for the S25U as another cash grab so you can purchase one separately.

If it means anything, the expectation is the Z Fold SE becoming the Z Fold 7. Not much changes this year. All the big changes will be next year when Apple releases its first fold.

That's truly a personal decision. If you have a S23 or S24 Ultra it may not be worth it. If you have something less and you just want to upgrade to the best Samsung S series phone available then you might want to upgrade to the S25 Ultra or save some money and upgrade to the s24 Ultra and get the Bluetooth function on the S-Pen.

That makes a lot of sense. It takes at least that much time for technology to really advance.
