On the end of the a arms, could you have used a bushing (where it usually is) instead of a heim joint?
Good Job 2stroke engines are nolonger pumping smoke into our city streets. That smoke more cancerous then many many cigarettes......... Im from London and in the late 1990s-2000s 2stroke Scooters like GileraRunnerFXR180, PiaggioTyphoon125 and AprillaSR125, ItalijetTwin125 and ItalijetDragster180 were the dominant bikes on the road. I miss the smell of 2stroke fumes but admit im glad these cancer machines are nolonger all over our streets .......... A cool relic of the late 20th Century ...
Ah, yes, a good ole 2 smoker.
That smoke is crazy
100 💯 I would love to see that video.
Love the videos, Bro! I've had my eighty seven gladzilla for years. The last ten of them have been just sitting. Watching your videos gave me the motivation to bring the beast back to life!!! Thank you, my friend. I might need some help with my build. I'll hit you up if I do...
I had a 230 Suzuki quad"something" growing up. Semi automatic. Amazing memories.
I’m confused. How is it a HEMI if it’s a 2 stroke? HEMI is a term for valve arrangement. 2 strokes have no valves.
Hemi is the shape of the piston head. It has an endentated hemisphere where the top of the sphere lines up with the outer ridge of the piston. where a conventional flat piston will have a flat head for simple motors of a flat endentation on the head for more complex or even interference engines with complex timing.
What happen to this guy?
Still here and actually plan to film a couple new projects this year. Just very little time to ever film anything. Have added about a dozen new machines to the collection in the hiatus though. Some insane stuff
Watching in 2024. Also Braums is delicious
Seen one fo sale....they wanted 10k
Honestly nowadays it’s a normal price. All big bore 500 2 strokes have seen a price resurgence id say kx500 is the last affordable platform
Gorgeous
Hey I just grabbed a 1987 frame today to restore with my son can you send me a link to that lift and where you got the rear swing arm and front a arms plz
Dude you got some legit frames there. iv seen videos of the giy that made that style a arm/suspension system and its super sick and innovative especially for the older machines they're making them for.
hey buddy is there anyway you can show the wire harness in a picture for retards
👍👍👊
Is it for sale?
James from x travel is not the same. Also my srps have the shocks mounted vertical 16’ travel Axis shocks. Works blows. He’s got 18 because of the 12’ rims. Most are 16’ front and rear.
Any updates??
Any updates???
Hope you make more videos!!! Is Suzuki guys need something to watch!!
Haha I hear you man. I’ve been collecting like crazy in the meantime. Dying to share some of these new builds with you guys. Just haven’t had any time to turn a wrench in forever. Planning to come back some time this year
Dude where did you go, I miss your Suzuki videos
Appreciate that! Thankfully, I can say that in this hiatus I’ve collected a lineup of quads that is in a league of their own. Almost a dozen new bikes and counting. I plan to come back at some point this year. I’m dying to share some of these new builds with you guys
just got my 87 fired up after years of sitting is mike still rebuilding engines??
Where did you find that handlebar pad at? I’ve got a 1992 I’m rebuilding right now
I’m acquiring a zilla from a close buddy of mine just don’t have it in my garage yet. Iv watched your series on these quads before and had and have a cpl 89-92 rm250s. I had to come back for pointers I’m going to need. I have my first bike still 92 rm250. I’d love to restore the zilla to match the 92 rm but I feel a little bit de sacrilegious to paint the frame yellow on a zilla. I was thinking of vapor honing the entire motor to rid the blue on that but after seeing yours dripping wet looking I don’t believe I can change that either lol. Thank you 😊
Looked like a great time. I raced snowmobiles for 15 years Snow cross and pro cross country. Was very good many wins and championships. Miss the racing but what I miss most is the hole adventure of it all. Seeing new places meeting different people. U mentioned how cool it was just mingling meeting people u thought u probably never would good times. Did some dirt bike racing and hill climbing never was as good on 2 wheels but again the adventure of it all is whats special. Great video awsome collection keep doing what ur doing killing it. Thanks for sharing
I actually like to put hear shrink over the rubber part of spark plug cap. From cap to the wire just a little insurance lol!! Man i love ur build so cool
Man so sweet cant wait to find a 3rd gen build my own. I would try finding a fist gen air box if it will bolt up. Or take the heat gun form the box around silencer. It has to go one one way or the other lol!! May even chop up the silencer and do some welding maybe idk.
So, you've got shop boots that perfectly.Protect the shocks, but you're not goingna run them because you think it looks better. So what you're telling us is you're a fucking idiot That or you've got money to burn and just don't give a shit....
This doesn't work and engine can only work at a certain pressure you can increase the pressure in the cylinder to make more power but the exhaust would not allow anymore pressure it would work the opposite you would get less power rather than more
Too much oil bud
Yes a good build indeed.great video.thanks UA-cam
Make cutch basket next lmao for the 85/86 lt250r no one makes anything
Want one for my lt250 🤟
I have a question, but first let me start with you have a few top notch builds and factory Quadzillas in your shop, along with the banshee. My question for you is there any other way to distinguish the 87 Zilla frame from the 88, 89 & 90 model years? Other than the double flange mounting brackets coming off the front upper A-arms of the frames as opposed to the 87 Zilla only having a single flange mounting bracket from the factory? Can you elaborate please? Thank you kindly for any & all info related
Nice work ,great video, are all the bikes in the background yours? I have a 85 and a 86 both are pretty good looking and running bikes. I live in Santee ca so I have had Lennard Duncan do some engine work on both bikes. The swing arms are definitely the weak point on the 85 and 86 models 92 looks way better.
Nice bro I love my 91 lt250r. I also have a channel you can check mine out if you get a chance. I also do Quad Talk Live every wednesday night if your ever interested in coming on as a guest. lmk please
Thank you for this man, I will be doing a resto on a 92 and these tips will really help it all go smoother. Subbed!
I’ve been looking for a set of OEM plastic for my 87 500 do you have any clue where any would be
Unfortunately they’ve been discontinued for a few years at this point. Full sets pop up from time to time on Facebook forums and on eBay. Only downside is that they’re as expensive as a complete zilla. I think there’s a set on eBay right now for what it’s worth.
250?? Wtf
I just bought my first Quadzilla today 1987.
I’ve got one of these not running sitting in my garage. This is the motivation I needed to go get it running.
Good job on the resto man!! I’m looking for a good project ‘92 LT250R to do the same thing. Having a hard time locating one. Do you happen to know of any?
That separate radiator on the side really helps to lower the temperature or did you just mount it to give it a different aesthetic?
Your bikes are ridiculous man!!! This is badass
Are these still available for the lt250r ?
Can you post a link to the wheels on the 250
4:14 - Ross, concentrate! :)
Killer video! Like a make some constructive criticism, that music is absolutely terrible to listen to :)
