PROTRAX has always been a wet dream. i was going to buy one last summer but it fell through. but i did get a lsr frame. someday ill mill my own setup, rn im just to busy
Glad you made a video. I saw the short clips of it. Glad you went into detail with it. Can't wait to see how well it turns out. I'd love to get or try to design a long travel frame like that. I have some SRP Sundahl Racing parts for me and my brothers banshee. Such a awesome and banshee/atc historical legend. Definitely have dean build a bumper for it. I'm running the radiator air scoops from him. He knew his stuff about banshees. He basically lived by them
Jaeger! Excelent video! There is little to no info on these unique quads. Thanks for explaining some of the engineering involved with the geometry and dynamics involved.
Not to many normal riders leave the tpin set up on their protrax setup because they are not durable.wear way to fast and easy and cost to much to replace just to do it again.balljoints are the best for durability overall period.so if your sponsored or have cash to burn or just have a burning desire for max travel then heim joints for your tpin setup is just for you.and bring spares cuz they are not easy to find like ball joints when you need one
Fair point, not as high maintenance as heims though. I would stick with balljoints for a low maintenance XC build. Ball joints have gotten better since the mid nineties.
In order to have anywhere close to the frame’s potential suspension travel, it’ll have to be a bit taller than stock, but aiming a bit more for aesthetic with this one than pure functionality, so hopefully it will still have a nice stance and look appropriately tall.
Well I really don't see the point in having that much travel in the front yet only a few inches in the back, because if the front doesn't flip you over if you hit a rock almost that size the rear will definitely send you to a sideways roll over.
You should add that this is a Sundahl chassis to your video titles for this build. You'll get way more views, awesome piece of off-road history!

23" front to 25" front tires
Helps keep the front clear when it bottoms out..
I was running 23" Dean is running 25"

Had a great time with it honestly! This was my favorite video to make so far. I geek out over the rare birds like this one!
Update on this build? These frames are super rare.
Sundahl plans to make these in the coming year.
Dean design is outstanding
On the end of the a arms, could you have used a bushing (where it usually is) instead of a heim joint?
Great video and boy, what a collection of Suzukis! Love it
Thanks! Got a few more since I took that video that you wouldn’t believe! Really enjoy your channel as well
@@jaegersracing Thank you. Look forward to seeing the latest!
Who makes that frame that awesome?
Deff gonna be a gnarly machine bro!!!
Crazy stuff going on there!
Ridden his bike for many year. Is like riding a couch ...Insane
cool baja setup
Laeger's banshee hidden away??
Any updates???
4:14 - Ross, concentrate! :)
How is that Sundhal banshee going? It's been 9 months of anticipation 😭
The scale of the project has expanded 6-fold… Will have update early next year… Worth the wait!
@@jaegersracing Sounds fantastic! (and expensive) I’m excited man. Those Sundahl Banshees were bad mofos.
youve build awesome suzuki ´s but this will be 🔥
Can you show a video of you guys riding it?
Not yet. Breaking it down currently to get it all built up
Crazy! Let’s go jump the canal at glamis!
Haha might have to sub that one out to someone else, but the Banshee could do it!
@@jaegersracing haha, for sure.
Been there, dont that. Practiced at Mojave to make sure we had the speed to clear the larger glamis canal. Btw 250 Suzuki Mx 'er quad.
@@dalestephan6777 nice! Did you record it?

How did they get all the rear travel?
Can you add a suspension to a 2002 Polaris scrambler 500 two wheel drive ?
I didn’t build it, but in my opinion all ATVs should have this suspension!
What year is the plastic color
‘92
Plans for the ride height? Loving the build till I saw the potential ride height, big turn off

@@jaegersracing sounds good, tall tires like some other where commenting doesn’t seem bad it’s just the rear swing arm angle that threw me off
🔥🔥

Rear will have 18”, so should be pretty capable front and back
@@jaegersracing oh okay, that will definitely make a difference
