Hi! I’m curious about these methods if the lenses are polarized/mirrored. I have seen some that are not only mirrored on the outside, they have an inner coating to prevent glare also. Will toothpaste or fire be ok for that? I found an anti fog kit that has its own pre-treatment cream but someone said it scratched the hell out of their mirrored lens. Thanks!

Good video but turn down the music it was pretty disturbing. Probably drop it with like 20% then it would be fine. Good quality sound in the mic and the music it's just disturbing

can you use it on an older mask

4:47 The toothpaste has not moved, and you did not even breathe properly on the mask. You did the toothpaste treatment once, and then used the antifog solution. It probably works, but why would you lie about how you did it?

I got 3 Amazon junk masks they will not suction to your face without the strap. As a kid I snorkeled every summer and I had a u s. Diver jr. It worked perfect it would stick with no strap no problem. Just to go again It's too much for over and around 100$ masks. I like a big view not tunnel vision. What's a good one around half a hundred dollars?

I snorkeled Lake Huron today…just my second time doing it…it was a blast! One problem I had was there were pretty big roller waves and it would get water down the snorkel…any tips? I have a dry snorkel…how do you purge it without raising your head out of the water?

I like your videos! Tried snorkeling for the first time last week in the Dominican Republic and I felt like I couldn't breathe and the mask made me feel claustrophobic! I had to tap out while the rest of my friends and family had a great time. I haven't given up on it yet though! Looking forward to giving snorkeling another try next year!

When you take apart the snorkel does it affect anything when putting it back together? I’d worry that something doesn’t go back on right and water gets in while snorkeling

Do you have any tips for people who have small noses/can’t equalise properly

Im not super comfortable in the water and I'm trying to understand how people tread. Its so difficult for me and I have watched countless videos. Any tips? If I am snorkeling mainly on my stomach but go vertical to clear my snorkel or talk for example, but then I start to sink, what should I do? If I start going under, will it work to go horizontal in floating position? Or would it be better to kick to get back to the surface and then go horizontal? The whole thing is just confusing and difficult haha

I just want to say I've tried toothpaste as well as burning quite a number of times now, and the only time I've ever had it not completely fog when I breathed on it was if I did that before it was dry, but when it still very much had a fluid layer on the lens. I spent almost an hour doing this yesterday and another hour tonight and after drying it with a soft towel to the point its not streaky/smudging. Then when I breath on it, bam, full lens is fogged. Surely there must be a trick to this I'm missing or something wasn't shown fully. *update* I just burned it again until there was a reasonable amount of carbon (the black residue) on the lens, then I cleaned what would come off with a towel (dry, though all the previous video's I've seen say to rinse it with water and fingers). There was a good bit of stuff around the edges and a few other spots that the towel wasn't getting so I just rubbed them right off with my finger and voila, finally had a clear mask when I did the breath test. Gah this was a very frustrating process.

Hi Steve - thanks for this video! I am a beginner, and I use a set just like yours for swimming below the surface. However, after using it 10 - 15 times, the snorkel started rattling and rumbling, and it's getting worse. It only does that UNDER water - as soon as I emerge, I can breathe in and out freely. Yesterday, the system collapsed. The mask or the snorkel or both got jammed, and I could not breathe in anymore. The whole chaos got me dizzy, so my pool time ended abruptly. I need this set several times a week .... is there something I might be doing wrong? Would I blindly purchase a new one? Any advice you could give me would be much appreciated.
