    Plasticity is like sculpting in digital clay. A cheat code tool that allows designers, artists, and hobbyists to think~create~build. My baseline loadout: Plasticity and F360; Blender (w/ many key add-on tools); Substance Painter, and Affinity Photo2. Team Plasticity, piloted by modeling wizard and coder Nick Kallen, released the Kraken when they launched the weapon in 2022. #occupymars

    Just used plasticity for 5mins and accomplished things I couldn’t for 5 years with F360, Blender, and C4D.

    So, it is proice that is the issue for you. Any non-parametric package is a definite NO for me. I have no idea why you are struggling with Fusion on a "powerful PC" as my 2019 Imac runs it beautifully and I never have to wait for any operations or get frustrated in any way. Any "CAD" package that is not parametric is actually a 3D drawing package, which may be what you need for your designs but is engineer things (I am a professional design engineer) and could not ever consider non-parametric

    Thank you for this video. I was interested to hear criticism towards Plasticity, since now this software is praised by everyone, it looks like everyone is trying to sell it to me, instead of helping to choose an effective tool. In any case, Plasticity's pricing policy is more suitable for regular artists. I can't imagine paying 600 bucks a year for this.

    Am I allowed to design my own files to print if the subject matter is copyrighted? I’ve seen people selling link sword on Etsy which I feel like Nintendo wouldn’t like, is it safe for me to design Spider-Man themed items?

    • @kevbot.
      @kevbot. 2 дні тому

      Is it safe.....maybe for a while. Like you said, a lot of people are doing it already, but that doesn't mean Disney, Nintendo, or Marble won't come in and close down your shop. If you want to make a quick buck it might be worth it but I don't think it will end well in the long term.

      A agree. Always take things worth a grain of salt and get multiple opinions. I will also say this video was made to point out the drawbacks of plasticity; I still use it daily to create my designs.

    Another plasticity ad. Most engineers use Fusion 360 or Solidworks.

    • @kevbot.
      @kevbot. 4 дні тому

      I'm not getting paid for this; I'm just sharing my honest thoughts. Also, yes, you are probably right; I don't think a lot of engineers would use plasticity. It works great for my use case, though.

Sry but nothing is under hand everything is hidden sometimes you even dont know how the hell function isnamed to find it, FreeCAD do it better maby you can't do everything but on start it's perfectly enough..

    Why does everyone take 30 minutes to make a 30 second point? also, if you want a free CAD software that you can go back to change stuff in, AND is not resource hungry? Onshape. It's not the best and has its quirks. But I have successfully designed more complex parts in Onshape than any other software I've tried

    • @smithpl2000
      @smithpl2000 7 днів тому

      I can't imagine doing very technical and complex projects in Blender, even at home. A blender is completely unsuitable for this. Additionally, it is a classic software that is not clearly defined in its scope of use, which causes pointless expansion of the interface

    I think a big part of the reason you made so little was the products you chose to design, phone amps are ancient history, something poor kids use when chilling on the block and ghetto kids don't shop on etsy/3d markets they just make their own out of a bottle or bowl, same with the clip and coasters just meh pointless comfort items if you would of picked a niche and researched what people in that niche are looking for and then doubled down by joining all the online communities related to that niche and promoting your service and offering custom commissions you would of probably made 10/100x that, at least you are honest tho and not selling everyone bullshit best of luck
