Pretty much, if you have one, listen to your 14 year old daughter and her friends to find the selling trends.... These are all literally things my daughter talks about or likes.
You shouldve checked the baby niche, if there is one. Most of those dont have complex moving parts and can be made of one of those soft plastics like tpu. And people tend to spend a lot on baby stuff. Also im sure parents would want customizable baby stuff since its for their precious baby. Things like names, ornaments or something, maybe even like a space for a photo
Great! I'm in the process of setting up a small 3D printer farm, and I've been doing some initial research on this topic. Your insights have provided me with a valuable head start. Initially, I thought the market for tools and battery adapters would be popular, but it seems like I should also consider making possum earrings. LOL!
@@alex0kai not bad, been making more sim racing parts than anything else. I need to spin directions and find quicker prints for higher profits. I have been running my 100 watt laser alot making custom tumblers.
Had a local deli in my area pull some insane numbers on the records, but they only seemed to sell a handful of cleaning supplies and candy, oddly; a very busy place though... I think this video needs some criminal justice clarification to explain how a business can appear to do so well selling such small simple items, while other businesses producing much more utility can't seem to catch up.
Great vid! Scrolling random UA-cam videos only to see my Etsy Listing and face of my giant dog at 3:21😂🙌🙌. Lmk if I can post a link and ty for immortalizing my dogo❤️
It’s based on the Creative Commons license that the file has. Most do not permit commercial use, and the ones that’s do likely already have a million people selling them.
I am From Cyprus and i don't know what the like to print. I am specialists to make 50cal and 68cal projectiles for HDR50 and HDR68 Umarex Home Defense paintball guns. I use TPU 95 Filament the it's the best choice for slugs 😢
Of course, thank you for watching! Sorry, the column descriptions moved down to the 65 line for some reason. This is the order from left to right: Categories, Products, Price, Sales Per Month, Total Sales, Months Listed, Revenue Per Month, Total Revenue, Links
Fantastic video, right to the point. And like you said, proof. I'm looking at worksheet with the products you looked at. Could you tell me what the column labels are or update the worksheet? This is brilliant. :-)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! The column labels should be at the top. It goes from left to right as follows: Category, Products, Price, Sales per month, Total sales, Months listed, Revenue Per Month, Total Revenue and the links to the product pages. If you do not see the column labels please let me know and I will update it as soon as possible. Cheers!
@@kevbot. Hi:) I think because in Italy there is a very high population density and there are a lot of people who own a 3D printer. So it’s very hard that someone would need or want to buy 3D printed stuff. Furthermore those ones who are kinda interested in, don’t want to spend so much money in a “plastic object” which is not as smooth as those ones in the shops. 🥲🥲 my experience says this. And I’m meaning the items displayed in your video, not those ones related to technical or industrial field
Hello walter, same here in france. 'M looking for object to sell o Etsy but it seems to be more difficult to sell plastic objects in Europe than us. I would like to talk with you if you want about strategies, did you found a nivhe yet ?
Yeah, it's really not the same market in Europe. It's not even that people have more printer, people have just less disposable income and Etsy is really us focused.we forced to find smaller niche and build audience, that's hard.
With a toys in Europe is a problem.. bcs of fking Brusel. If I will use safe material for kids, I need get certification anyway. And for one type of toy it cost around 3000$. Just for certification.. and then I can sell and hope in return..
I'm very surprised none of these were customized items. It could be that if it is customized then it doesn't show up in the revenue search tool or the totals are skewed?
This 3D printing concept just got next-level! Forget pushing plastic through a nozzle, what if we built objects from the inside out, layer by layer, with a two part container? Imagine a two-part vat that spins while a fancy nozzle sprays a special resin, building the object layer by layer. But here's the twist: a UV light zaps each layer to harden it, and tiny magnets outside the vat can manipulate the resin for even crazier designs! Think dissolvable layers hidden within the object, or even tiny components placed precisely using magnetic fields. This "Morphing Matrix" could be a game-changer, letting us print objects with hidden compartments or even self-assembling parts! #FuturePrinting #MindBlown What do you guys think? Could this be the future of 3D printing?
Usually, it is just one seller for the products making a lot of money. If a lot of people are selling the same product, revenue and profits generally go down due to the competition.
No worries, It is a little confusing. Yes, it is legal as long as the creator grants you permission along with a commercial license to sell the prints. Most creators offer a commercial license on their Patreon accounts, and you have to be an active subscriber to keep that commercial license. What you can't do is resell the digital files (stl's, Stp etc.) Hopefully, that clears things up a little bit!
since 01.08.24 we have been using up more resources in the world than are being created,.. what are people doing, they are printing a lot of garbage that is not even of any use, wow respect
Pretty much, if you have one, listen to your 14 year old daughter and her friends to find the selling trends.... These are all literally things my daughter talks about or likes.
I don't have one but that is a very good idea! 😄
Fuck I need to go back in time 14 Years then
14 year old marketing managers? Hired🎉
I am glad to see my crystal controller stand in the video. Thanks for the video, that also help the content creators. 😊
Of course, I'm glad you liked it! And great designs, by the way 🙌
I hope you are the one selling it

You are absolutely right! That is a great niche as well; thanks for pointing that out! 🙌
Just make sure no choking hazards or if it can come apart or have small pieces put choking hazard warning all over the place on the listing.

How is your printer farm doing? :)

Thanks so much for this great research- this is exactly what I was looking for 😊
You are so welcome! I'm glad it was helpful!
If someone would resin print hot wheels accessories and body’s they would make so much money

Is that your dog!? Haha, that's awesome! I'm glad you like the vid and yes, feel free to link it!
isn't there an issue with selling a product that has license under them? or is it only if you are trying to sell the STL files?
It’s based on the Creative Commons license that the file has. Most do not permit commercial use, and the ones that’s do likely already have a million people selling them.
So people are printing and shipping these products or can you outsorce the printing and shipping?
For the most part they are printing and shipping. Another niche is selling the files that people can 3D print at home.

Here I am getting into designing and building USEFUL stuff that you don't really get outside 3d printing, and Is see what is actually selling? Crap.
Lol, yes a lot of the items that are selling well wouldn't be considered useful, but there is definitely a market for useful products as well.
When you say the amount that they are making per month.. is that gross pay or net profit ?.. you need to know their operating costs.
That's total revenue, I'm not accounting for any costs or fees.
Eyyy. I saw one of my products🎉
😄That's awesome. What a small world!
Good for them 💪 but this something that wouldn’t work in Italy 😢
How so? I would love to hear why.

are these products not under copyright?
I'm sure some of them are, like Mario, Disney, and Pokémon stuff, for instance. It doesn't stop people from selling them, though.
What program are you using to edit videos
Davinci Resolve Studio but the free version is also amazing! 👌
looks like AI edit@@kevbot.
Where do you get designs that you're allowed to sell?
Patreon and Thangs.
I'm very surprised none of these were customized items. It could be that if it is customized then it doesn't show up in the revenue search tool or the totals are skewed?

What's your product research tool if you don't mind me asking?
I don't mind at all! I'm currently using Esty hunt: bit.ly/42HPfHx
You gotta watch too, people like to steal your work and sell it.
They definitely do. I've dealt with that in the past.
when you say there making 5000 dollars a month.is that just one seller selling there item,or is that alot of sellers selling the same item, thanks
Usually, it is just one seller for the products making a lot of money. If a lot of people are selling the same product, revenue and profits generally go down due to the competition.
How can you sell a product without a license? Example you selling - Darth Vader Pen Holder and other types ? Do you don't break a law ?
Dam, I’m not even touching anywhere near that, guess I have bad SEO I need to look into
That is a good idea also make sure your photos are great and that you have 5 star reviews.
Awesome!
Thank you!
3:57 those are Opossums, not possums. Those are a different animal from Australia. 🤦🏻♂️
That is hilarious, lol. I had no idea. Thanks for clarifying.
these people making more money than so many people lmao
When you say "Making" do you mean revenue or Net Profit? People are so misleading on this stuff
Great question. It's revenue, not net profit.
No offence, trying to understand. Selling someones projects is legal? 🤔 You print it but you donloaded it and used for profit.

I’m glad I’m not on the list 😅
😄
People need to stop making or buying printed dog bowls and stuff like that is a mold factory and I feel bad for any pet that has to eat out of that
Don't they eat out the fucken floor lmao
You have to put a stainless steal bowl inside the plastic one
Microscopic PLA dust is just a drop in the pan compared to the other stuff they consume daily. Calm the F down.

My question is... who buys those products? In my opinion those are overpriced and useless..
One mans trash is another mans treasure I guess lol
@@kevbot. Yeah, I guess you're right 👍
Crazy people
Who is buying this crap? Seriously. Those apossum earrings were hidious.
😂
good luck making money from these after a video with 150k views. Everyone will just copy.
Etsy is a bad choice. I thought everyone knew that by now
What is the best alternative then ?
Well surely you should mention the better alternatives, right?
