Here is some footage of the Sunday A-route from the Howlin' at the Moon event hosted by ATR. I did record the Saturday route as well but my camera angle was set incorrectly. If you want to see more quality footage of this event, check out @DirtZen He did a great job filming and editing the B portion of the loop!

September is still warm but when you have a rainy day with overcast, it's hard to stay inside! The bike does well in this type of enduro riding. 2020 WR250F GoPro 9

A mostly unedited compilation of my trip to Young from early May. The first 10% is challenging due to all the rocks. Would not recommend taking a big bike unless you were born on two wheels (lol). 300lbs or lighter is optimal. Trying to get another ride in before the scorching Arizona summer! I staged at Jakes Corner and made my way north east on FR 894 towards Young, AZ. Then I took the 288 all the way to FR 609 and headed towards Pumpkin Center. From there, it was a straight shot back to Jakes Corner via HWY 188. Sorry for the head swaying, I'm trying to break this habit. Footage was filmed on May 8, 2022. Camera: ...

Beautiful ride!!
Thanks! It was great. Hope you're doing well Salim.
Great views and roads! 900 miles is a good trip for 3 days.
@@vtrack1963 Thanks! I thought so too. Makes the trip more enjoyable.
Looked like a fun road trip with great views! Those small roads in California are pretty sweet, must be endless miles to explore.
It was a memorable one! Glad I did it.
Which trail or OHV is this?
The beginning was NF-198 in Arizona, 85541
Clear and to the point, congratulations, great video/explanation.
Thanks buddy!
I can see where you find it to feel light in the front. I’ve ridden a friend’s WR and it felt heavy and dead in the front, but my background is motocross, so I’m use to light nimble bikes.
For sure! I think it comes down to what you’re used to and how the bike is setup. It took me a while to find the right settings on the WR. To be more fair, this Beta was not sprung or valved for my weight and riding style.
i demoed one last weekend and just loved that motor gonna have to get one as soon as i can afford it
Not work
What exhaust you buddy got on bro?😮
Stock 👍
Did you ever consider a 250rx and plating it?
I didn’t at the time because I was worried about the 5-speed transmission not being enough for the street.
Do you still have it ? I got my XR400R I wanna let it sit nicely in a barn. While I shop for replacements, I wanna know if it’s still a nice bike years later
I do not own this anymore because I downsized to a 250. Being a Honda, it will last a long time and shouldn’t give you any trouble down the line. My only gripe is the X hasn’t been updated in almost 6 years now. It’s still capable and great, but it will continue to fall behind the competition. The updated WR450F is a solid bet if you want to stay with a Japanese brand.
@@fynn8252 that’s sucks to hear, I’m a big Honda loyalist, I was hoping the upgrade would’ve lasted longer. My XR still runs and all I’ve heard about the X line is gripes from everyone wishing they kept their XR400’s
Get a Beta 390rr and you will be extremely impressed. I say the rr because I bought the rrs. Then I changed the big rear fender for the Tidy tail, as they call it and small signals. Can't say enough about the bike. Power, lite, Nimble, etc. Awesome bike!!
They’re great! I think it’s Beta’s best 4-stroke.
Have you try Vp racing ready use coolant ?
I have not. Ever since installing a radiator fan, all heating related issues went away.
@@fynn8252 if you have chance to try, please share your experience 👍
Is that rubber piece just a plug for a spoke hole and it’s missing a spoke from the factory?
It's supposed to be a drain for water. As the wheel spins fast, the plug will lift up a tiny bit and allow water to come out.
Very expensive rent
I agree! Unfortunately there weren’t any other options.
The reason why the l comes with the fan because sitting in traffic most 450x are wfo
The 450l comes with the fan
The fan on the ls for sitting in traffic
I came here to see sizing and got way more! Thanks man!
I bought a the X when they were first released in 2005 nice bike but it wasn't enough power for me i wish id bought the R model now!
Thank you, I learned so much!
I weigh 235. Installed lucky inserts, rear spring for weight at81ex rear tire. Nothing better. Suspension is everything. Super confidence with power to the ground.
Great synopsis and camera work!
Thank you!
love my 22 390 rrs now ,Had Race tech install gold valves and springs, Total game changer add 8 to ten miles an hour to confront zone, mouse -and 110 z dessert tractionator front tire now front end feel planted and mouse gobbles up the chatter
What to really feel like your bike makes impressive power , put 250 or 300 badges on it , and don’t tell anyone ! My bikes makes more power than your bike ! Na Na , Na Na , Na Na
It’s an awesome package for sure.
390 is awesome! A stroked 350, but it pulls off of the bottom better and runs out a little at the top. Like you said, perfect for off-road/trail riding. while it’s not the KYB (I have a Sherco 450 now) it’s great for medium pace.
Looks like good flow trail.
Love that 390 engine. I think if I were to get another Beta 4 stroke it would be the 390. Such a great tractor. 👍😊
That’s a nice looking bike. Nice recording spot also!
Thanks Tim. That’s one of my favorite spots!
Is it a modern Honda XR? That's my hope for one. I want the rideability of the old XR400/600 but with electric start and lighter weight.
Despite having never ridden an XR, I’d say yes. This has great rideability at low speeds and the legs to run on roads. The wet weight is only around 253 lbs.
@@fynn8252 I need to find someone who has ridden both
Hey Fynn! The local shop sells Beta. They are very popular bikes here in Upstate NY. - Frank
I couldn't have said it better myself. Everything you said was on point. Although I actually like the Sacs suspension, especially after it's been adjusted for my weight and riding skill, it is very plush. Having KYB front and rear on the new 390 Race Edition would be a game changer. What's next, Tenere? 😎
She treated me well all-around! I wasn't used to the plushness, but it made the whole trip comfortable. The Tenere is an awesome machine!

💯🔥 Hope you're doing well arto!
dope
I gotta find my way over there one day, looks like a fun place!
Man, it is so pretty out there. Looks like a fun ride!
It was a great time! Hope you’re doing well.
If I'm going to get a 450/500-ish I'm not going to settle for that low Honda HP. I went with the KTM 500 EXCF. Mor power baby!
I tried this stuff once but I kept having other cooling issues so it kept leaking out and I finally got sick of paying so much for it and went to generic coolant, I may try Toyota red coolant next time I got to change coolant just because it’s not as corrosive as others
I’ve got the 2023 and it’s an Awsome bike once you remove all the restrictions and get the competition ECU and CCU mode switch and the gytr exaust baffle racing one
Thanks mate. Fantastic review. I trust your judgement. I won't bother with it now only because it's not worth changing it every year for those results on my KTM Duke 390 road bike. Thanks from Brisbane Australia.
Olahraga yang menyenangkan
using engine ice is for my quad the best, changed to g12+ and direct problem on the cap opening, presure gets to high, did running perfect for years on engine ice so i will go back
What makes the seat height .7 inch higher on the X over the RL? Tires, seat, suspension...?
The X has a slightly smaller wheelbase which raises the bike up a little.
@@fynn8252 i guess that could be the rake, (not sure if its in the triple trees or frame) or you did mention the swingarm is longer on the RL too.
@@usa45v26 I think so too. I know the X has a different triple tree at the top because there's no key insert. I bet it's a minor tweak somewhere in the chassis. Honda probably wanted that extra length for stability on the pavement.
A little bit of everything on that track. Thanks for the video!
the skills!
😁 Thanks! I’ve been on this road more than I can count.
Looked like a fun day, even with a few scratches.
Where is this? Doesn't look like TN or NC to me.
