I thought your tutorial was excellent... and as I watched it a second time, I edited a photo along with you; however, when I got to the cropping tab it stopped working. Also, the before and after feature stopped working (it grayed out).... it's probably my computer. But I did want to say for someone like me, who is retired and is learning this as an option to Adobe... I wanted to say thanks for putting this tutorial together.

Thank you for taking the time to do this tutorial. It was a great introduction to this software. It's always the first few steps that give you a feel for any program. 👍

On the color tone curve tab, you can click that line in 7 places. On the cross lines and in the middle between where the cross line are. That give you a finer adjustment area to work on. I like to use it to darken the sky to make it more dramatic.

I am not a professional photographer but just bought Canon Eos R6 Mark 2 to enjoy photography and somewhat better photos. This video helps me ascertain that DPP is more than enough for me, I don't need Lightroom subscription.

Hey @drom Media Zone thx for the vid. HERE is a tip/trick for 4:00 you can in the Search bar top right type: .mp4 that wil give u only mp4 file in that folder :) and .LRV and for change all the files from .LRV you can Ctrl+a then Rename one of them to .mp4 it should like to change all marked to mp4

Hi Dom, I've asked a few sites regarding an issue I have after downloading protected photos onto a computer for editing with canons dpp before I unprotected in camera, I'm having a message that reads "cannot access file" so I can save as a jpg. How can I unprotect the file while on my computer?

Hi, great video, thanks, Quick question though. How do I change the format of the date from US style to UK style. My laptop is correct and camera is correct but on DPP it show MM/DD/YY and not DD/MM/YY. Thanks.

Why not just open up your photo in paint and add text to it?

Most adjustments are global...applied to the entire image. 10:50 to apply corrections separately to components such as subject, foreground, background, sky, etc.

Thanks for this detailed tutorial, i upgraded to Canon R7 but as a novice in editing was finding it frustrating to edit HIF and CRAw files. This helped me get good understanding of the DPP tool. Now I can confidently edit photos ..

excellent - thanks didn't know about the feature to edit specific areas - nice. one question - i've been trying a photo lab (National Photo Lab) and they have told me to use their ICC for photo editing ? should I (we) set the ICC in DPP before editing ? if so how ?
