Survival Shelter for short term situations
Keep it small and keep it simple! There are many people on IG and YT building giant structures in the wilderness. Those shelters take hours and hours to build. A small basic shelter will retain your heat better and burn less calories. 99 percent of survival situations are short term. Don’t try to build a cabin. Sometimes a simple emergency debris shelter is all you need. Shelter, water, and fire is usually the only thing you will need unless you’re trapped in alaska for a long time. 😂 #wildernesssurvival #survivalskills #woodsman #outdoorsman #survivalist #shelter #primitiveshelter #primitiveskills #wildernessnation #wildernessculture #selfreliance #beprepared #aframe #intothewild #outdoorskills #preparedness

Survival hack Fire with rope and hand sanitizer
Переглядів 286Рік тому
This is an easy method of getting fire with two common items using a ferro rod. A little bit of rope and some hand sanitizer can do the trick. The fibers of the rope and alcohol content in the sanitizer makes it ignite easy with a spark. Thanks for watching and subscribe for weekly content!

The LifeStraw is a must have in your survival or hiking kit! It protects against bacteria, parasites, microplastics, chlorine, organic chemical matter, dirt, sand, and cloudiness. It also improves the taste as well as helps you bring less weight in water during your hikes! #lifestraw #survival #musthaveitem #survivalist

Wilderness Survival Training North Woods of Maine!
Me and my son are eating some now. We purged ours for 72 hours changing the water about twice a day. They came out very clean and actually taste great. They are pretty tough however ours were a good bit larger probably why they are tough. Great video thanks. Try them with Tabasco.
The key is the witness who claimed to see her go down the opposite side of the mountain. 🤔
Nice! Great walk, one of the better ones on UA-cam
Thanks so much! I hope to do a few more videos like this involving the history and folk lore of certain places.
Need more videos about cooking these clams
I’m sure I had anaplasmosis last year. Negative for COVID, flu, West Nike. Even had a brain MRI, the headaches were so severe. Doc’s office finally mentioned anaplasmosis today, months later. A real aha moment. Glad you got treatment. BTW I am also in MA.
I am glad you are ok! It can be fatal if left untreated but I’m so happy you ended up being ok!!
What is the weight of this bad boy? Nice channel!!! Hit me up when you come to South Africa!
It’s not very heavy. It lasted a long time for me. I camped in the backwoods close to 40 times before the floor started to leak a bit during a major rain storm. Thanks so much for watching!
NICE build👌🦎
👍🔥🏕️
When my wife kicked me out it was a bit longer than short-term. Do you build any man caves?
😮😮
👍🔥skills
Yessss!! Missed ya.

Hey vas that stuff burns so good
Absolutely! 😀
Get some !!!! Rangeley River this morning on my end.
That’s awesome! I had no luck this time around but I will be back to catch myself a big fish! Thanks for watching!
Here come the internet park rangers to bitch about a fire 😂 Looks fun 7 year old me would’ve made the sickest lore about this spot
Maybe it’s on private land. 😀
Purging is always best. As we do with crawfish here in the deep south. Place them in clean Salty water. The salt will kill any freshwater bacteria, alow them to soak. They gota drink sooner or later, the salt is ingested, they puke. Yup they hurk up anything in their belly. Few more fresh water purges and yum, yum
Thanks for the advice. Since this video that I posted a couple years ago I have learned more. Thanks so much for watching!
@@vazsurvival7539 Not a problem, their also great fish bait. Open one up, toss it back into the water watch what happens. Put it on a hook and it's fishing heaven. it's hard for the fish to pick the hook clean. I grew up in the Norht East, we ate crawfish as kids. You can catch them as well with the muscles. Like chicken to blue crab
glacial erratic.
Vas wow how you feeling man hope your back
Hello 👋 my friend. Good 👍 primitive shelter. Nice weekend ✊
Thanks so much!
I just subscribed to your page. Great content!
They’re back 🙌🏻
💪💪💪💪
Freaky
Great to find you again!
Thousands of years? Do you have documentation for that claim?
I love when people have time to make a comment like this. 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
usually. before you cook clams as they are a natural filter they have mud and or sand in their stomachs ,so best to soak overnight in clear cold water and let them purge most if not all of what in their belly and I think they taste a lot better that way. cool vid!!!
Thank you! Just set mine up and love it, as well. Great video.
i live on the edge of it. the paths are pretty normal, but when you take the off shoot path toward lanesville it feels a little like.. idk like you just are not alone and not a damn thing you can do about it. the village itself is worn and usual, its when you go where even the village didnt even want you, those areas. about a day and you can go towards goose cove off the commons paths. its a good time most of the time
awesome to see you doing more videos!
More to come! Thanks!
Good to see ya'll!! Great informational video guys.
Thanks so much! Stay tuned for more!
If you go camping and when you wake up your asshole hurts would you tell anybody??? This guy on the right of the video “NO”
Nice to be a tool bag hiding behind a screen making jackass comments like this huh?
Question: what distance are you guys hiking in and is it legal to just hike in anywhere and have a fire? I'm interested in doing that this yr. Campgrounds are so noisy and too busy.
The great thing about the white mountain national forest is that you can go camping 1/4 mile from most trailheads unless stated otherwise.
I did this once - didn’t know they had tons of sand in them I think I would do it again But once they open, Slice them open, then rinse in cold water, the dry them up
I got diagnosed with anaplasmosis after being bit by a tick in NY. Doctors did not take it seriously at all although I felt like I was dying, at first the did not want to proscribe me anything but eventually did days later, took the antibiotics and they helped I felt normal for about a month, then one day 6 weeks later I was hiking and my chest hurt so bad it was one of the worst pains I feel I had a heart attack now my heart rhythm feels way different and I still get regular chest pains everydayI went to the ER and they said my ekg was not normal I need to see a cardiologist, we’ll I called to book an appointment but they’re booking 6 months out. Hopefully I’m still alive by then.
I am praying for a speedy recovery! Stay positive and strong!
Ha! My family has gone camping here since I was a kid, fun to find it online - glad to see y'all enjoyed it!
Great seeing you out & about!
Don’t sharpen the blade use it square blade. No tapering necessary
Dude try bass wood and the blade has to be square
Great video. I just read that book and it really pains me to think of how she and her loved ones must have suffered. It is truly a shame that her instructor never taught survival skills. There’s just one thing you might want to do differently: remember that total beginners might be looking for videos like this, sweetheart. They might not even know what a birch tree looks like or how to strip bark from it. You’ve got to show them the tree first. Keep at it. Lessons like this can save lives!
Thankyou for the review, was looking to buy my first snow jacket! Helped
I'm glad you survived! 😅 I thought about trying those but wasn't sure about it.
More videos! Such an underrated channel
Got this as well as other coinfections.
Late to the party here. Just did vesper two weekends in a row. Im not gonna say its impossible to get lost because both times I saw lost people. They found their way, but it happens.
Excellent video. I love watching it and I like the idea of the competition.
Thanks so much!
I have a tarp and paracord in my pack for a tipi and don't use tents. Much better using natural materials in my opinion. I want to do this with no tarp soon because I believe in being able to rely only on what nature provides for sustenance. I also have a passion for this. Please keep making videos. It's not in vain
My husband had anaplasmosis and Lyme at the same time just a few short weeks ago. He was so sick. When I brought him to the hospital, he couldn’t walk on his own. It was scary. His liver was shutting down and his kidneys. The doctor told me that my husband was very sick and could die from this. He had three days of Antibiotics by IV in the hospital, in combination with the oral antibiotic treatment. It was scary. My entire family got treated afterwards because the doctor wanted to be safe and give us peace of mind. Check for ticks. They are scary buggers.
I’m so glad he’s doing better!
Homer Simpson lol that's funny
I love you bro. Come back or some free training.
❤️❤️ Absolutely! Love you sista!
Happy to see that you got better. I'm 78 YO and just getting over a serious bout of anaplasmosis that started 22 days ago. I never saw a tick but must have gotten bitten mowing the grass. I live next to the woods and there are lots of deer in the yard. I live in south central NY, next to PA and was told by the county health department that they are seeing a lot of infections now in this area. I was the 3rd person she had called that day. My symptoms started Saturday morning, but I waited until Monday morning to call the doctor and went to the ER. My temp was 101.3, so they started me on an antibiotic for sepsis. The next day I saw an infectious disease specialist and he started me on doxycycline, IV and pills for 4 days and then pills for another 10 days. He sent my blood to Mayo Clinic and it came back anaplasmosis from a black legged tick. My fever broke quickly, but the next day my temp was 94 and I spent 6 hours sweating under a heat blanket. My platelets also dropped to 8K, so I needed a platelet transfusion. That brought them up to 26K and they recovered on their own to 95K 4 days later when I was discharged from 6 days in the hospital. I'm still very tired, but feeling a tiny bit better every day.
I hope you feel better soon!
