Check out @muskrat411 for some action in the frozen North, also @truenorthlivingmanitoba for a trip on the trap line, also @thehuntingfarmer9806 for some awesome trail cam footage. I LOVE your mind set of improvise adapt and overcome on the muskrat sets. They are fun to set for and catch. Glad to see you are having some success. Keep SHARING your PASSION
Thanks Boxie, seen you have been catching a few yourself, tough this year with the low of no water, my rat numbers this year and last are way down. I don’t think there dispersing as far with the low water levels on this side of the state.
Improvise, adapt, and overcome 😁👍
Yes Sir,sometimes you have to know when to switch it up.
Nice rat buddy! Muskrat trapping sure is a lot of fun. I hope you catch a bunch.
Thanks Todd, I knew it was going to be a grind with the low water, still managed to pull out a few rats.
Good to see you making catches my friend! Thank you for sharing!
Tough with the very low water Mark, it’s a mud grind my friend.
You don't need that drowning rod for muskrat. The weight of the trap will drown it just fine.
@@lockdoc854 the feed bed was in very shallow water, not enough to keep the rat under water so I needed the rod so they would drag the trap into deeper water.
1st time watching your channel. Came over from Mark's channel. I love to watch muskrat trapping on 330 Maniacs channel, so i definitely wanna see how you do. Being a private land owner & only trapping the woods & fields we have, I don't get an opportunity to trap muskrat. Anyway, I'm gonna subscribe to your channel and watch how you do. Hope you'll check out my channel s well. I post hunting, fishing & trapping videos -- as well as trail cam videos.
A good amount of activity there! I liked that shot of the muskrat at the beginning. Best of luck Paul!
Thanks Todd, not too often I catch one on camera not in a trap. Thanks for checking in.
Came over from mark's channel
Thanks for watching, appreciate that.
Hope you clean up the pond. Some good channels 👍
A little tougher with the low water, but trapping is like farming you have to be amble to roll with the punches, thanks for watching Dave.
Thank you for sharing brother! I really thank you for sharing my channel! I'm really trying to get that bobcat! Dan Davis is the master at beaver trapping! Good luck with everything my friend!
Thanks for watching Mark, keep posting the great content.
thank you for the shout out . good luck on the muskrat sets . the u bracket stands that you make work great , hope you get them on the market . they work great for rats and bottom edge otter sets.
Well deserved shout out Dan, thanks for watching, and keep smashing the beavers and otters.
@@huntnfishnuts5880 will do.
Sorry for the loss of your friend. Sounded like a great encounter! 👍
Thanks Dave, oh yes it was a good old fashioned stare down for sure. The old buck won this time. My friend I’m sure is having a laugh at my expense for being out witted
Good real world update 👍
Thanks Dave, I was impressed with that head, they do take a little bit of tuning to shoot properly compared to a mechanical.
Just talked with my local game warden and he said Bridger 160's are legal in PA.
Love the content! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for November 28, 2024. Keep it up! 😊✨
Thank you for sharing my friend!! Good luck with everything!
Good work
How did you like the magnus broadhead ? i was looking into those , Congrats on a nice doe
I was very impressed, I just videos a review that will be up soon but I was able to resharpen the blade back to a razor so I could use it again. Was also impressed with the created section even after going into the ground was still razor sharp.
Great job
Hi There, how are You Doing? do you NEED a professional UA-cam Thumbnail designer? Let me know please thanks.
Great information
Congrats Paul! 👍
Thanks Dave, now we’re both after a Buck.
Congrats on the second one of the season!🎊 Nice job tracking her down!🦌
Thanks I appreciate it.
Congrats!🎊🦌
Thanks Appreciate it
we have bow season from Oct 1-Dec 15 with 2 weeks of rifle mixed in. I would love a late season muzzleloader season. I don't own one, but would gladly go buy one if we had a season for it. Congratz on the harvest!! Good eats right there.
Thanks, our archery season is first, starts early October, then third week of October is early season antlerless muzzleloader when I can use any type of muzzleloader, then archery ends at the end of November then after thanksgiving two weeks of gun season then after Christmas we have late archery and flintlock. That’s the hardest season here especially on public, there’s a lot of pressure early gun season. Good luck out there.
Nice doe, how do you like the Fatal X? I’m considering getting one.
I love that crossbow. It’s compact, quiet and accurate. I like how small the axle to axle length is when it’s loaded. I don’t use the crank I just use a string to draw if back. You cannot draw it with your hands so you cannot loose the cocking device. I did have an incident with it where it dry fired because I diddent have the arrow against the string but it still let me take the safety off. Now I need new string and cams. Other than that, I would buy another one.
Have a similar model that seems to have a good battery, but never wants to turn over. Next chance I get, will be investigating the woodruff key to see if its intact! Definitely seems like a potential problem tune up places won't be checking for either!
On your #1's. Order some 1.5 music springs. Replace the #1 springs with 1.5. They will hold the coons. I dont modified my #1's for coons. I just put the 1.5 springs on them. If u want a coon trap. Try a #11 they are a great coon trap.
Congrats on the nice doe! 👍
Thanks Dave , caught a sneak peek of you working in one yourself. 👍
Great job
Thanks Tim , appreciate you watching.
Congrats Paul ! Nice big doe. Thanks for sharing buddy 👍🏻 I was lucky enough to get a big doe also. 2 Sundays ago.
Thanks Chip, great to hear from you, pretty tough to beat an archery hunt. Well done on getting a deer, get it from the ground? Packing up backstraps as we speak.
Those crossbows are pretty powerful!
Yes they are Vinny, I’m shooting a Killer instinct Fatal X, it shoots a 20 inch arrow with a 100 grain broadhead, and it’s shooting at 200 lb draw weight. With there arrow it shoots at 405 feet per second. For shooting at an animal 30 yards is as far as I like to shoot.
Subscribe and like very nice sharing thank you 🛎️❤️👈
Oh hes dead alright
I have a family farm that is my hunting camp. Nobody there during off season. Nothing like finding that mice have invaded while nobody was there. They always poop all over the sheets and towels in the linen closet. After the second time of having to wash and dry everything. I started using the big vacum bags. Shove as many folded towels, blankets and sheets as will easily fit. Vacum out the air. They are so easy to put back on a shelf sealed. Also started throwing lots of just-one-bite rodentcide under the house. Put a couple of bars behind each screen door. A bar in every closet and under the sink, behind the stove. Two years now without any more problems.
Wow $60 for 3? Whatever store you shop at you should stop going there. I have the Magnus Stinger Killer Bee Buzzcut 2 blades 150gr heads on my xbow. However my xbow is old and doesn't shoot 380+ fps like newer xbows. It's a 175lb recurve, so heavy bolts, heavy broadheads, a trajectory like a rainbow but it punches right through.
Yep 3 megameat 100 grain crossbow broadheads were $59.95 at Walmart. Thought that was a little excessive for broadheads that are only good for one shot. Nothing wrong with the slower crossbows, as long as that arrow goes where it needs to. I have seen some broadheads single bevel ones made from tool steel that where over $ 100 for 3.
Thanks for shout out and good luck!
@@Deathbybunjie Your very welcome , best of luck if you guys are in Maryland already👍
Looks like a great option! I hope you have a good upcoming season 👍
I hope we both have a good season coming up Dave, I think we’re both due for a change in luck with the Bucks.
That is one cool looking crossbow Paul! I like the design of that broad head too. Take care my friend. (Did you get any snapping turtles this year?)
I only caught some smaller ones out fishing Todd, fishing has been pretty poor over the summer, was crazy hot here. Hope the house reconstruction is coming along for you.
He's a good lookin buck,congrats!
Thanks, appreciate that, seasons going to be here before we know it.
Measure your Bridger 160's
If u point the loaded blow gun down to the ground will the dart fall out or does it stay in?
It will slide out if you pass a certain point of angle toward the ground. There is a restrictor on the mouthpiece that will not allow the dart come out the back of the blowgun so you can lightly inhale with the dart in the tube to hold it in place for a steep angle then blow full force when you want to shoot.
You did a better job explaining things than the J30 people did.
@@66bigbuds thanks I appreciate that. Glad you found it helpful
You recommend changing the spark plugs about every three years or so. Like you say, it depends on how much you use your boat. So, how many “hours” would you put on that 60hp Mercury before changing the plugs? I only put about 4 or 5 hours a year on mine, which is why I would be looking at total hours instead of years.
You can put a lot of hours on those plugs, especially running at low load. At that amount of hours a year I would not worry about changing your plugs for a long while, I would just check one for gap. If your gap is increasing or the plug tip is rounding off then change them out.
good vidio,thanks for shareing
Nice one Paul. Everything will be using that by the time trapping season comes around
I’m hoping so Eddie, I might set a camera up it to see what’s using it.
Fun
Nice
Old school or not, I like it! 😁👍
Sometimes the old ways are the best Dave.
Thinking ahead my friend! That's how we do it. Take care Paul.
Thanks Todd, I may bait it throughout the year to encourage them to use it. Hope all is well on your end Todd,
Looks like you had yourself busy cutting up that tree, Paul. I remember reading about making the tree set years back. I think it was tom miranda , who wrote an article about that shitI think it was Tom Miranda, who wrote an article about that set. I used that set alot . I caught alot of coon using it along with possums, squirrels. 👍🏻 thanks for sharing buddy. Always enjoy watching your videos.
Thanks Skip, I’ve never tried one before and thought it was a good opportunity, i read about it in Hawbakers fur trapping years ago, I also seen Stew from coon creek set one up last season on a small line he had, I’m betting every grinner in that woods will get caught in it.
