I see you were having the same weather everyone else, it was tough. I like seeing the cable set ups, I think next year that may be the way I go after Xmas, all cables. That was a Beautiful skunk. Keep SHARING your PASSION

I said to myself last season that I was just going to set cables after Christmas, I might throw in a dirt hole here of there if I see a good spot and dog proofs, I’ve been catching some giant coons late season, I can go a long time without making a catch in late season. I did get some great coyote pics next to these cables but I did not catch any, I got one picture of a big male il put up on a future video.

They do look good with a good winter coat. The thick white stripe looks good too.

That skunk was nice! I have caught red fox in a red remake and coyotes in a coyote remake, but I’ve never caught a grey fox in a grey fox remake.

I was wondering about the coyote, I don’t get too many grays around here, I have not seen one in many years, I am now beginning to see more coyote every season. Some guys say the coyote will be suspicious of a remake in a catch circle, I have always had good success on red fox remakes. Hood that shoulder is getting better for next season.

That there is one animal I haven't trapped in twenty plus years.😊.. I do love their fur. Are you going to send it out to get tanned? I love your videos Paul you sure do give a lot of info. Thanks for thanks for sharing buddy👍🏻

Thanks Chip, I did skin the skunk with the feet on. I will tan it myself with the orange bottle tanning oil just as a wall hanger. I sure don’t see the number of skunk I used too.

Why are skunks considered a nuisance Paul? Ah they dig yards. Is that the main problem?

No that’s a secondary problem Vinnie 😂 So when I trapped this skunk I had my van not my truck so I lay the skunk in the back on a liner, that van smelled like skunk for a month, my poor wife wouldent even drive in it and that was just from it laying in there. That’s how strong the smell is, if you get sprayed it’s almost like being hit with pepper spray it takes you’d breath away like a smelling salt. That’s why it makes suck good trapping lure, every animal will come to check skunk oder.
