Thank you sir
what you are calling "flat" I was taught is horizontal. Flat, for T joints is an "X".
Motor how many W?
Keep buying on price. What could possibly go wrong...
👍
Excellent project that will serve a very useful purpose.
That's a Salmon Valley stud right there!
12:20 Dude its not great to be shaking a VFD like that! the communication boards inside can get disconnected over time and cause errors.
@@iraquitanlima9601 ya, that vfd is like $100 cad we can replace it a bunch of times and still be ahead on labour
Cool build and perfect Simpsons clip 😂
Warranty period apart, the ESAB is presumably a professional duty machine, whereas the AC is at best a superior hobby machine. That works for me but you should probably recognise that somewhere in your scoring scheme. Good review, though!
@@murrayedington I see your point. But from the esab and arccaptain site.. Esab from 15-40% duty cycle (depending on the process) Arccaptain 60% duty cycle. I’ll stand by my assessment although both machines are great to own. I’ll be happy with the esab after I give the arccaptain to my son to get him going on projects
Nothing against you really, but this is a very uninformed comparison, in my opinion. The Arccaptin is cheaply built machine with generic components, copper cladded aluminum leads and stamp steal accessories and no Powe Factor Correction (PFC). It's like compering a KIA Soul to a Porche 911 and then declaring the KIA is faster.
@@Precivilization This cheap little unit has no business working as good as it does. It’s like comparing a Kia soul to a Porsche 911 when your on a budget and will only need a vehicle for basic transportation
You're in the horizontal position, not flat. It's knit picky, I know. Good video!
You can increase pre a post flow on the Arc Captain. If you gave the Esab the Tig just for that then it shouldn't have won.
@@JALA578 the use of the foot pedal and or the button on the torch stops from long arching.. that was the major difference in the tig but thanks for watching and commenting
@flyweldfabricate understandable lift arc definitely isn't as convenient.
To be honest.... haven't seen a ton of reviews of this format where the welder can actually WELD! This was great! It had great content with everything you need w/o too much time wasted.
@@shjones27 appreciate it, I try my best to get to the point, be cohesive and entertaining
That looks like a tumble...
Retorque intake. Rubber vacuum caps on front of holley carburetor base dry out and crack. Neoprene caps last for ever. Only three vacuum lines required. Prower brake booster to intake. PCV to back of holley base. Distributor vacuum advance to front holley metering block. Make sure your primary idle screw is no more than one turn in from fully closed. If it won't idle where you want it adjust the secondary idle screw. BEFORE TRYING TO FINE TUNE CARBURETOR. Change the curve in your distributor to at least 16° initial and 32° all in before 3000rpm. Drive and tune, repeat. Mopar Or No Car
So nice seeing it run like that after all that time
Quick question, why is that battery there?? Should be out back, even if it’s a restoration. Just my opinion. I had a ‘75 Duster 225/3spd
@@mikerooney7928 that was the factory location for this model.
@ Yes, know it well. I was just wondering if you had plans to put it in trunk. Or does your inspector’s not allow it?
@ haven’t had any plan yet. Future plans are custom headers, stroker kit, trick flow heads qa-1 suspension etc
@ sounds like a good plan! Like watching you work on Marks WIP’s
Thanks for keeping the lost art of carburetor tuning alive. Your car sounds great. Keep after it and enjoy the ride.
@@kennethjunkert2990 will need more tuning. Vacuum lines, ignition etc.. it’s losing power on the top end now.. I’ll figure it out
Riley is good at tuning carburetors .
Nicely done. Uncle Tony is the place to go for any Mopar questions. Smart man. While you are re-doing the vacuum lines get yourself some new rubber caps for ports that are capped. The small block Mopars can be really bitchy about vacuum leaks, almost as bad as a Ford. Once the vacuum leaks are fixed it is much easier to dial in the tuning. Love the car. Brings back memories.

Looks good, but just a tip keep your steps closer together. It will keep the edge of the weld much more clean and straight
Well executed. Brilliant.
Great work Blake as always
Hi, If you want a top AC/DC welding machine in the same price range, ask about the EVM from Germany, it is way better and costs the same and has many more features. But I can't tell you whether you have it too but I think so. Greetings Marcus
@@marcuszorn8378 I’d be willing to give them a try, still really happy with this unit though
Isn't the ESAB power factor corrected?
@@BCole-bj4lv they both max out on amperage on 110 at pre determined levels if that’s what you’re asking
@@flyweldfabricate No PFC means that there is capacitance inside the machine that keeps the current and voltage in peak alignment (no phase shift) when welding. This means it delivers the output amperage with a much lower input amperage. I know Miller, Fronius and ESAB offer machines with PFC which makes them very handy on 110 as you can get much more out of them without tripping a breaker. Or if welding from a generator, you can use a smaller generator. It also is a bit cheaper to run, as you use less electricity. I believe you can lower your bill by 20 to 25% with such a welder.
Arccaptain mig200 has a power factor of .72 and has limited correction
Great concept and fabrication, Peace

That is one bad-aaz piece right there! Nice work! My only concern is the actual grill surface is very small considering the overall size of the whole thing.
@@Mike-hb4pc your right. It’s the biggest I could make it with the constraints of the project. I had to have a few things.. mainly the exhaust had to be functional as well be 60% scale

ESAB doesn't give out freebeez to every welding channel on youtube. Arccaptain does.
@@WV591 yup, I was one of them. And the only thing I was required to do was give an honest reaction video. The thing actually works really decent and was drastically cheaper then the esab (which I bought everything) I’m still keeping both because both machines work really well.
