College essays should be abandoned completely. What is the point of a judging a personal essay when the reader has absolutely no idea how much of it was actually written by the person in question? It was bad before AI, now "cheating" will be so widespread with people like this condoning it, the whole exercise is unfair and pointless.

It honestly brings me to shame that the military should be politicized in this way. Maybe she really did let those sexual assault cases fall through and if she did then she had it coming, but if thats a fabrication for political gain as I would expect from Fox News then it was not just whatsoever and was merely justification for removing women from leadership positions. I know plenty of women in the military who are both physically capable and also serve as excellent leaders. To say that women should not serve in combat roles or leadership positions because they are "emotionally unstable" just shows ones true misogynistic views. Its not about military effectiveness it's about the patriarchy, and these fools in congress feel threatened that a woman could be on the same level as them.

I've met several parents that wrote the essay for their midshipman.

-Unfortunately, we will never hear her side of the story. There could be certainly justified grounds for her dismissal, or there could be just trumped-up charges designed to remove women from key leadership positions. Given Trump's sordid and hostile relationships with women in the recent past, one has to be at least a little suspicious. Absolutely no doubt that she will be replaced with either a qualified or unqualified male in any case.

I agree with all of your takes on Ai honestly (at least in my experience) in my district when people want to go to service academies the staff is absolutely thrilled, I feel so much support and I am thankful for it. That being said many applicants should look at possibly asking their English teacher or counselors for help as it has many of the benifits of Ai with almost no draw backs.

Coast Guard is joke under Woke Woman. "I don't need to know how many helicopters or cutters we have today, I need to know the number of drag queens and alphabet people we have. Need to keep the number's up."

Can you make an episode on tips and tricks for writing essays. I feel like it’s the hardest part because it is the only part of your application you can answer incorrectly. Without a doubt, writing essays was my worst part of the application. I submitted my USAFA application two minutes before the deadline because I’m not able to write essays.

An 18 year old writing an essay may not produce the most polished English but if it comes from the heart the selection committee will know. It's always a plus to put your integrity on display,

Well overdue action. I had some very good female officers in the Army reserve we had some very poor commissioned, warrant Officers and a Few very bad NCOs. One Warrant officer was caught selling our meat ration for annual training. the Division commander was present when we were served soup which was supposed to be Sloppy Joes. The Warrant officer was arrested the following day. One of my first sergeants was thrown out after he failed his 3rd drug test.

Time to cut out all of the woke rot in government. These woke leaders care little or nothing for the job they are responsible for doing. Their only true interest is in advancing their ideology. Look at LA burn because of inept leadership at the highest levels. If those woke leaders had done their actual jobs the fires would have been far less of an issue or none at all.

Balanced reporting. The fact that there was no hue and cry from Capitol Hill over her dismissal speaks volumes.

This type of leadership is like a plague, if left unchecked it would’ve spread. I truly hope nothing like this is going on at any of the other academy’s. I just received an LOA from USAFA and was wondering if this means that I will be accepted once my medicals clear, which I believe they will. Can I assume this is an acceptance if so?

Trump pledged to eliminate the politically inspired DEI and base decisions on merit. This is a step back from the woke practices of the Biden administration.

When I was in HS and found out my art teacher was a Vietnam vet. I told him I wanted to enlist. He asked why I would do something silly like that. I told him I wanted to serve my country (I am Chinese with a heavy accent). He shakes my hand and I don't know if that changed him or he gave me a strange vibe. I got this feeling he was against serving.

Another possible problem: my son had a teacher for both 10th and 11th grade with whom he had a great relationship. My son spoke to him at the end of 11th grade about getting a recommendation. All seemed great. My son got back to school in September and the teacher was gone. It took a while to track the teacher down at a new school. He was still willing to write a recommendation, but the process was much more complicated than the teachers at his school. All the more reason to line up multiple recs.
