That would be a question for the NAM Discord group but in general, no. There are tricky ways to do it but nothing that can be explained in a youtube comment. Your own DI wouldnt make a difference in the outcome of the NAM profile, honestly.

@@dietcoke8114 I think it depends on the trainer youre using. If youre using the one on Google Colabs, I would use the .wav file associated with that trainer. There should be a download link in the instructions. I know that different training files have different weird stuff going on at the beginning and end of the files. Some of them are very specific lengths. Its very touchy. But yeah, sorry I couldnt help you much futher here. Hope your models come out great!

I have updated the RC2 to the latest firmware and it still works. I never updated any firmware on the wireless HDMI device, not sure what version it is. Have you gotten the wireless device to work on any other equipment? Like your phone or a tablet that supports dual-screen (has a USB 3.2 port) and your Television or some other HDMI screen?

Yes it works with my phone no problem. Lastnight after about 20 tries I got it to work once on the controller. But I could not replicate it again. The time it worked I had a 1 second pause in-between button presses. But I couldn't do it again. Just seemed to work out of luck.

@@bassdronefootage9006 Maybe return it. Might just be a bad unit. Otherwise, I would say wait as long as possible before 2nd press.

I got it! The key is on the first button press I don't just press it. I hold it down for a second, let it go for a second, then press and hold till it comes on. It's the holding down a little bit longer on the first press rather than just pressing and letting go and then pausing before the second press. Been able to replicate this way 3 times in a row during testing.

The mouse pouch thing has a sticky back on it. Transmission is line-of-sight about 40ft.

UAD Console on an Apollo X. I dont know if a UA 276 would do any of this, unfortunately. I dont think Console works with that hardware.

@@jasonzdora Does not look like it, which is unfortunate. Bought the UA 276 because of the loopback feature but it doesnt seem to have it. It could be the garbage Luna DAW, dont know. I do not see an option in Abelton or Reaper to mess with the I/O settings. Still a solid video.

Im glad its better but I dont think I would ever need to, honestly. I would rather always have PCM lossless audio 100% of the time. Feel free to make a test yourself and create a video demo. Upload it to your channel and I will gladly post it in the video description.

Best thing about NAM is that its Open Source and can be modified by anyone.

The solution that Ive seen several times in the comments in this video is to power up the RC2 slowly. Plug in both pieces of the wireless HDMI device (into RC2 and your screen), press the power button on the RC4 once, wait about 1 second, then press and hold to power on. Ive updated to the latest versions of firmware on all my DJI products and the RC2 still works with this system.

@@jasonzdora Thanks - yeah, I've tried that several times, with various delays. I see the wireless TX gets power on the first press (blue LED turns on), but it then goes out for a second as the RC2 boots, then comes back on - does yours? Wondering if there's a different firmware version on my wireless dongle.

@@BooDevil65 Sorry hear that, man. You can see the blue light on my transmitter flashing on and off several times in the video around 3:05 and it works. I cant really tell you anything differently than what Ive shown in the video or any of my replies to other folks in the comments here. You can see the firmare version of my dongle in my video as well.

There is another workflow for the iPad that involves using a capture card and an application on the iPad. There is a video on youtube somewhere that Ive seen before. The workflow in this video is for this specific equipment.

No settings changes needed. The main thing Ive seen people mentioning as a "fix" is when powering up the RC2 to take a longer pause between your first press of the power button and the 2nd long holding press. Not sure but I think that gives the transmitter longer to power up. Have you tested the transmitter and reciever with any other devices? Troubleshooting to see if that part works correctly.

I did test the transmitter with my phone and it worked. I will try the pause on the power button.

Is there a problem with the sound of the audio in the loopback, when the windows audio properties are set to 32bit?

@@jasonzdora not for the loopback specifically, but more so for system playback outside of a DAW.

@@__orangejulius You would want to get into your sound settings (the old one) by finding "more sound settings" in the new menu. Right-click your speaker icon and go to properties and change the bit depth and stuff there. Im not 100% sure what youre asking but thats the only place you could really manage any of this stuff. Just leave it at 32bit, honestly. Youre not hurting anything.

@@jasonzdora yes, that’s what I’m asking, sorry for not being clear. In the old sound settings, there’s no bit depth and sample rate option outside of “32-bit, 48k”. I was wondering if you had figured out a solution to that outside of using Voicemeeter because apparently UAD over Thunderbolt doesn’t have full WDM support, leading to issues with Discord and Zoom? I noticed minor clicks and pops during UA-cam and Spotify playback which led me down the bit depth rabbit hole.

@jasonzdora Yes, exactly. All major lossy encoders use a lowpass filter because high frequencies use more data at the expense of the lower frequencies where we can actually here the best.

Noir Labs is awesome! Shortcut Buddy is in my default live set. Only issue, Volume Buddy requires Live Suite which a lot of people dont have. I think this one is accessible to everyone since its free. The only problem was that Melda never explained it properly so I made this video.

Sorry your DAW isnt giving you exact results. I would try adding some silence before the 1-sample spike as a way of possibly mitigating issues with your DAWs handling of transients or audio file truncating. Not sure what the problem could be as I dont use Cubase. Glad you got decent results, though! Libra is cool but it has its own issues. Primarily the way it handles IR alignment. I dont like how they require you to manually align IRs from different makers. If you have an IR from Ownhammer, one from Bogren and another from York, you have 3 IRs that have 3 different starting points. Without the ability to visualize that, you are left guessing with their "Delay" knob. To me, the best way to blend IRs is Melda MCabinet in Edit mode, or Fractal Audio CabLab4. MCabinet will automatically align all IRs and allows you to add EQ, though its difficult to use. CabLab4 allows you to visualize the alignment which is a lot easier to manage than Libra. The only thing with CabLab4 is that you have to extract the IR through manual means as they only allow export to their proprietary format (so you do what I show in this video).

The AUX is a bus, yes. You can adjust how much volume you are sending it by setting your send to pre-fader. Id have to see your exact setup to tell you whats going on but the first thing I would do is figure out if youre sending pre or post fader into the AUX. Then Id have to see where you are monitoring your signal and why youre hearing clipping. That could be a dozen different things.

If you set the speed too quick, yes. Its not meant to be used as a permanent effect. Its meant for doing A/B testing of effects chains and then disabling it once you get your gain staging correct.

It has the same latency as any other computer using Ableton and an Audient iD14 at 48khz with a 64 or 128 sample buffer. The imedance is also dependent on the audio interface. There is no difference.

IRs do not capture distortion, unfortunately. If that was the case, everybody would have already done that. They are "linear" so they can do things like EQ or Reverb but they cant do distortion.

@@Andrea-qg5yk Yes. IRs were primarily used for reverbs before they were also used for guitar cabinets. Its very common. The only thing to consider is that the IR loader that you use for your guitar cabinet IRs might not be designed to utilize reverbs. Most IR loaders built for guitar cabinets have a relatively short window they expect the guitar cabinet sound to occur (between 20 and 500ms). Reverbs can last longer than 3 seconds so trying to load a reverb IR (or a guitar cabinet IR that has reverb built into it) will not work as expected on most Guitar Cab IR Loaders. In this case, something like Melda MConvolutionEZ would be a better choice, especially because its stereo and because it doesnt have a time limit on reverb length for the IRs you load into it.
