Jaw breaker is amazing in my opinion because he is really fun to use and good at pushing and good against enemies who are effected by knockback

In terms of skylanders, i feel like the best options would be trigger happy, gill grunt, and kaos Kaos is pretty obvious, given his diverse power set and being the main villian hed encompass every part of a skylanders game. Trigger happy is a very iconic character for skylanders, being one of the starters and arguably having the most representation across the games for species. Gill grunt is pretty obvious, since it seems to be the devs favorite character. Given every single skylanders game has some new varient of gill grunt to some capacity.

Tech on #1 for variety a lot of ranged (although ranged isn't my fav) they also have some of the worst skylanders though, undead at #2 it has a lot of high mobility/health melee brawlers with a lot of combos and cancel enemy attack/knockback which is a lot if fun #3 fire/water also for variety

Put cool designs on the cards. Battlecast cards, official renders, or even fanart. Maybe make your own fanart. Never erase the data on your cards, have your stack in some mystical looking card box, maybe even a diy one. I think that would feel just as cool while being more accessible for people who have a lower budget. And, let's be honest, skylanders aren't being produced anymore, so it makes sense.
