I agree with most of these besides Giants and Imaginators. For giants I really wish there were more bosses. One of my favorite things about video games are the boss fights, but Giants only has 3. Now these bosses are some of the best in the series, I still wish there was more. For Imaginators, I really wish old characters didn’t become useless. If the old characters were still good then I feel like a lot more people would like the game.
Agreed. Giants probably would've benefited from more levels and some extra bosses (or minibosses instead) A damage buff to old skylanders in Superchargers would also be nice.
I think the traptanium elemental gates are a huge letdown for trapteam especially considering they were going to be normal gates any skylander could use before launch
For Trap Team I'd want them to keep PvP mode as I really enjoyed pitting my skylander collection against my friends, and it was a huge blow to me that I could no longer do that. I'd also remove the "Only Trap Masters can get through elemental gates."
I think they should have kept the giants roster amount. It made collecting all the skylander for giants a resonable ordeal to my 9 to 5 dad back in the day.
I thought I had was to have one original character for each of the lightcore figures instead of reposed old skylanders. Same amount of figures, but bigger roster technically
The vehicle sections in superchargers should have been handled like Swap Zones in swap force, an optional mini-game that you need to do to 3 star but dont have to in order to finish the level
I think with imaginators the hub is a massive problem aswell, having your entire hub based around already mid levels is a massive opportunity they missed out on, like in Woodsborrow or the Ship in Giants you can spend a good amount of time just exploring and or doing side quests thats just missing from Imaginators
I 100% agree with all of these.... except Giants. Spyro's Adventure being the first game kind of cements it as *the* Skylanders game, so it makes sense that the only real change that could be made is just adding something as simple as optional difficulties for replayability. Swap Force's Levels and Trap Team's Bugs are probably the most complained about aspects of those games, so those picks make sense. Super Chargers being the ONLY Skylanders game where the gimmick is outright required to beat it will always be a horrible choice, and I think it's a good way to gauge Activision's increasing greed with the franchise (make the gimmick required = force people to buy more figures). Imaginators I think has more issues than just the story (it could honestly be argued that they tried to make this one's gimmick required as well seeing as most bossfights are near impossible without it) but I agree that the weak story is one of the bigger issues with that game. Giants however, I feel has a worse issue than the roster. While I agree the roster could be made larger, especially since it has the smallest one, that comes into the issue of basically saying the game needed to force people to spend more money. I think the lack of proper bossfights was a bigger issue; outside of Chompy Mage, Drill-X and Robo Kaos, there are no proper bosses in the game. I suppose the Conquertron, Brock, Brute and the Shadow Duke could be considered mini-bosses, but the Conquertron I feel is a stretch, and the other three are just regular enemies initially encountered as if they were bosses. If Giants had more bosses like the scrapped one where you fight Noodles piloting Machine Ghost's body, then I think it would be definitively the best game in the series, but as it stands, the lack of bossfights makes the game feel kind of shorter than it actually is.
I also feel like nobody is talking about the elemental gates being locked behind trapmaster figures. Trap team would be so much better if everything wasnt locked behind a paywall.

The one thing I’d change in Swap Force is that god awful challenge where you have to beat every single boss without getting hit once in order to get 100% in the game to…literally ANYTHING else. I know some people find that challenge fun, but I DON’T. I find it FRUSTRATING, even on easy mode. Seriously, WHO AT VICARIOUS VISIONS THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?

I’ve heard people talk about the trap team glitches a bunch…but I didn’t get any glitches when I younger, like I’ve only encountered one glitch and it’s when my game froze at the beginning of the chicken egg lvl
I'm actually fine with some of the non-optional vehicle parts in Superchargers like in the first part of the game, you're travelling through the rift, and stuff, AND the finale against the Darkness.. But not ALL of them had to be forced.. Some of the chase boss fights, like Stratosfear, and the Darkness, I get.. But Cluck, or Moneybone could've been different type bosses..
I would agree for ssa, giants and trap team but: swap force: yeah the level themes aren't diverse enough but the fix isn't making the levels as short as trap team levels as imo trap team levels are TOO short, add the superchargers checkpoint system instead. Superchargers: I do NOT agree with making vehicle sections completely optional as it would mean that the vehicle sections themselves would be made less interesting as they can't be part of the main story and they may have to think of tons of dumb scenarios to skip past vehicle sections. Also the vehicles is what makes the game so special to me as whenever I get bored of on foot sections, i have a vehicle section to look to and vice versa. Taking away the mandatory vehicle sections would make it my 3rd favourite skylanders game as the variety this games brings is unmatched in the series besides ssa 3ds (which people also don't like because of a gameplay gimmick). Imaginators: This game has so many flaws and the story is probably the least of my problems. My main critique is that the levels are so mid, linear and uninteresting, if they added more exploration to the levels and made them feel more unique to the series it would be so much better. I could also mention making all the skylanders balanced, replacing the stock music, adding back everything they removed from superchargers like portal master rank etc etc.
Spyro needs an upgrade to his Legend of Spyro moveset. Also, the story of Spyro’s Adventure needs to have the cutscenes centered on Spyro and Cynder because it’s called Spyro’s Adventure. And there should be special NPC interactions if Spyro or Cynder are on the portal.
In my opinion to fix superchargers they should have made mini open world areas in each level where you have to explore the area and you can find gold,soul gems and hats.Then there would be a miniboss where you had to beat a villian in a race

Completely agree on Superchargers. The vehicle sections are the main reasons I don't like Superchargers as much as the other games. I'm still annoyed that the fight with the Darkness (the antagonist that the franchise has theoretically been building up to), wasn't defeated with the skills and army you've been growing since the first game. But instead was defeated with CARS. The controls are fine. It's just if I wanted to play a kart racer, I'd just play Mario, Little Big Planet, Madagascar kart.
For swap force I agree since they look very similar and should have something unique to them as well as having an elemental theme combined like what they did to ssa. Giants I’m personally ok with a smaller roster, for me it’s about the skylanders moves, nightmare mode on giants can be pretty difficult if in a sticky situation and no skylanders have abilities that can help you get out of a sticky situation. Superchargers it’s not about the vehicle sections, rather more it’s about how often vehicle sections appear.

Ssa I can absolutely agree, Giants needed more bosses, it would have benefited from it. I like the size of the roster we got, just wish there were less reposes, even if its just 2 per element. I like swap forces level design and lenght but I would change the battle mode in this game to have more arenas as it doesn't hold up well compared to giants battle mode as well as bring back skygoals and sky gem master. Trap team can't deny the glitches are the biggest problem. I like the force vehicles in Superchargers but I would like to have seen elemental gates that weren't vehicle centred, 2 or 3 a level and would have all the collectables have a place and not be completely random. Imaginators, im not to fussed about the story but the combat is my issue. The game was built around the imaginators and the senseis so all the enemies have way too much health making playing with older skylanders in this game way less fun. Just balance out the damage in this game and I would like it a lot more
besides what you said for SA a jump button, for giants again the jump button this would fix or at least help Sprocket as they would have made he tank able to jump instead of exploding when you jump,

Sure it's basic Kaos's side and using old Skylanders as NPCs is just a eww idea, but it uses the full gimmick of this game, and what I love the most of this is creating your own Skylander which is a point which nobody can ignore.

i have some of my own: ssa : never played it sorry sg : haven't finished it bu still i fell like more bosses or like more diverse enemies would be nice sf : change those stupid spin type zones they are so stupidly hard i hate it you fall off so easily how did it even make it past play testing like wtf ? + maybe more things with the fact that they could have made a boss fight using double types , it feelks like they just didn't use swapping as a gimmick at all the dual zones you can just have a 2nd controller and its fine stt : cheaper or less figurines, i know they dont have controll over it now but bro you knew people were being hyped for the new elements like do more figs wdym it's out of stock ? it came out yesterday! and doing more with the trapped villains like maybe even having levels in which you have to infiltrate enemy bases with the villain that would have been very cool ssc : I would make it so that the game has better vehicle sections there are not even that many it's just that they suck so bad that it makes it look longer to play sea : better mobility it's a pain to turn land : faster cars make it like a true racing i dont want it details i want it to feel like an acid trip air : have more things with the 3rd dimmension you can go up and down but they never use it they use it more in the sea sections smh si : never played it sorry but i heard that senseis are op , imaginators are p2w and senseis aren't even that usefull except for their stats and sky chi

I change to trap team is rebalanced the skylanders I don't like that some skylanders did around 100, 200, 300, and so on but some skylanders in trap team (mostly from swap-force) barely get over 100
To be honest I think imaginators should make you do side quests to get sky chi because it feels so bland to watch a small animation then beat the whole game with that one move and also imaginators needs more levels, they are diverse but when you think the game is getting okay it just ends and the after quests are pathetic. I don't disagree with your choice im just saying how much i hate the flaws in imaginators
Superchargers vehicles is what made me not buy the game. Trap teamed I enjoyed thuroughly and beat the game before light/dark even came out. I played all the skylanders game before it too. I just really didn't like the gimmick for superchargers... most people didn't seemingly as thats the year sales declined. I also thought the over advertised collaborations were very annoying and I like DK and bowser. Just didn't fit the game / were made too apparent.
one thing i would change is getting rid of the wii versions of swapforce and trap team. These versions suck they are buggy,uggly and they removed level sections🤮👎

You need only one land vehicle to beat superchargers, and you get it WITH THE GAME. And even if you don't have it, you can use instant vehicle

I haven’t glitched in trap team ever
As an aspiring game designer, I will take your advice if I want to make a great game.
I just bought robow and windstorm and am waiting for my green chompy mage to arrive in the mail… I could use the support tho and need a shoutout, I’ve always loved watching your vids

I agree with most of these except giants. I feel like having two giants per element would take away the uniqueness of them. Just my opinion.

Can you do a live stream when you play through trap team?
I change to trap team is rebalanced the skylanders I don't like that some skylanders did around 100, 200, 300, and so on but some skylanders in trap team (mostly from swap-force) barely get over 100
To be honest I think imaginators should make you do side quests to get sky chi because it feels so bland to watch a small animation then beat the whole game with that one move and also imaginators needs more levels, they are diverse but when you think the game is getting okay it just ends and the after quests are pathetic. I don't disagree with your choice im just saying how much i hate the flaws in imaginators
Superchargers vehicles is what made me not buy the game. Trap teamed I enjoyed thuroughly and beat the game before light/dark even came out. I played all the skylanders game before it too. I just really didn't like the gimmick for superchargers... most people didn't seemingly as thats the year sales declined. I also thought the over advertised collaborations were very annoying and I like DK and bowser. Just didn't fit the game / were made too apparent.

one thing i would change is getting rid of the wii versions of swapforce and trap team. These versions suck they are buggy,uggly and they removed level sections🤮👎
