    As i said before ADHD is not a hinderance this is because the brain is developing itself to be multi useful it's like a computer you adding a hard drives in the right circuitry the computer can Dodge in many different operations all the same time that is the evolution of the brain however we are not there yet to take that ADHD and make it into a positive therefore we suppress it with drugs and counseling

    Thank you Mande, I love Trello I currently use the free version as retired. I started using it for my personal finances and having a list per week which ends on a Sunday. A lot of my bills are by direct debit and some by fortnight so I keep 4 weeks and change the end date of the week on the list name an I am paid fortnightly so I call them pay week & non pay I also have a list at the end which is titles 5 weeks & future.

I got the image on Etsy and got it put on canvas through easycanvasprints.com if you want me to direct you to the artist in Etsy let me know. I've found easycanvasprints to be the most affordable place to do canvas. I did my vision board there as well.

    My biggest struggle is i plan my day the night before but when check my emails for work in the morning, my whole day shifts around the new priorities.

    I mean, the dopamine is used to do the action, not after you complete it. Dopamine helps to get you moving, its a motivator. It's more like you spent your energy on the planning and now dont have any left to actually follow through. Anxiety is also motivated by dopamine. Instead of it going towards the things you want to be doing, its going towards anxious thoughts instead. Thats the whole point of ADHD, its a lack of control of focus. Its very easy to get stuck focusing on the wrong thing because we can't control how dopamine is reliesed in our brains very well.

      I disagree. You do get a dopamine hit finishing things. You can also move forward without feeling like it. I also disagree about planning. I encourage my clients to not over plan and exhaust themselves. You are absolutely correct that can happen but it doesn't have to. I would encourage you to rethink what is possible with ADHD. Your view could be very disempowering.

      @learntothrivewithadhd You are then also disagreeing with scientists. Dopamine is what motivates you to get the reward, not the reward its self. Its why people with ADHD are often described as being "driven by a motor." It's what you feel when you get excited to do something. You suggesting to plan less probably helps because too much planning can be very overwhelming. Too many steps can be difficult for someone with poor working memory to wrap their brains around. I think that you will likely demotivate people by making them feel guilty for only chasing some reward when they are simply struggling with a symptom. I think its far better to tell people the truth and let them know how their brains actually work so they can work with them. Over-planning doesn't fail because you "rewarded" yourself too much. It doesn't work because it makes taking the first steps more confusing. You brain is focused on the end or middle of a project when you havent started yet and that can be very difficult to switch out of. When presented with too many steps you become overwhelmed and struggle to hold onto the motivation you had before. Its much better to start small and plan as you go and give yourself room to be flexible.

    Thank you for not talking so fast! lol But you are so right, about the Electric bill, ( I too, am in so calif) I am paying off my summer bill. By the time I get it paid off it’ll be summer again. Well, because of my ADHD brain And growing up in a very poor family, I struggle with finances, and having enough but not managing

      I wasn't an automatic thing at first. Really looking at your numbers and facing reality and then figuring out what you can do to move it the right direction is the first step. Then just keep trying to make your financial situation better.
