A6M2 Zero Full Build and History 1/48 Eduard
Hello Modellers,
This is the final video of the build of the A6M2 Zero Type21 in 1/48 from Eduard.
In this last video, I'm going to show the full build process and tell you the history of the Zero.
In the previous videos, I built the 3D-printed cockpit, the cockpit from the KIT, the 3D-printed engine with the KIT engine, the 3D-printed Tailwheel section, the 3D-printed Gunbay, PE landing flaps and the 3D-printed folding wingtips. I compare them and highlight the differences in detail, buildability, and quality.

@jessewilliams1422 AK has sets of for the US Navy aircraft. I haven't tried it but it provides all you need. Hataka also has paint sets. I like to pick the colours one by one, but I'm sure that you can't go wrong with these sets. I believe that the secret is the thinner, not the paint. I always use the thinner designed for the paint. I mean, for Tamiya paint, I use the Tamiya thinner and retarder. For MrColor same, and so on. I like to use a thinner mixture with a drop of retarder and build up the desired tone step by step, layer by layer.

Your so right WWII Japanese aircraft info, photos, etc. Limited when compared to Allied or even German aircraft. My interest in WWII is the SW Pacific, N. Africa, Sicily, and Italian campaign. Italian vehicle and aircraft deserve more attention in scale modeling than what the manufacturers provide. But its a business and they produce what sells. Excellent video. You are 100% right. Italian aircraft are beautiful. Should deserve more attention. Stay tuned, I am working on the engine video. Coming soon. Thank you for your comment.

For me, it was the attention paid to the cockpit windows that elevates this model to the top of the tree. It really is a stupendous work of art. Thank you.

Very nice, As we have a fully restored A6M3 Zero in the Auckland War Memorial Museum here in New Zealand I may just have to get an Eduard kit to model it.

How many hours does IT take yOu to make this model excluding drying time?

Well, it's a hard question because I have other hobbies than scale modelling and I'm not working on a model every day. For an average model like this, I spend 3 months to build. Also, I'm a slow builder. 😊
