@lovelyworld5244 hey!! You raise a valid point. For me, the guy posed no danger. He stepped out into the road but didn't show any signs of darting out into the road. A good driver will assess the scenario before them and decide the best course of action. Imagine if you were to brake and stop for every person that stepped out into the road... you'd end up getting hit from behind a lot.

@@kmkldrivingschool Oh, okay. I feel the exam is so hard, as every scenario may be a bit different, and then we need to act differently. Every examiner may also have a different opinion. I just hope there is no special scenario on my exam day.

@lovelyworld5244 yes absolutely you can use the right lane. Both lanes go the same direction. Make sure you move back to the left lane when safe to do so though (if you're not overtaking or turning right).

Hey thanks for your comment. Possibly confusing if there was someone coming out of that junction or maybe if there was a car following behind. On that particular roundabout I don't usually signal tbh but if you do and it doesn't have any adverse affect on anyone else at that particular moment in time then I don't really see an issue with it.

@Benghx-6 thanks for your comment... nahh the signal had little or zero affect on any other road user. If there was a driver inside that road road waiting to come out then I wouldn't have indicated at that moment. Hope that helps.

@@mowais396 hi there. Thanks for commenting. Throughout your test, the examiner is looking for the test candidate to drive safely and under control. It's difficult for me to say exactly why the examiner braked for you during your test as I was not present at the time. The examiner should offer an explanation during the debrief. Hope this helps.

Nope seems fine to me... the bus wasn't moving as I went around it. It makes sense to slow down/stop to give way to a bus if safe to do so but as the bus was still and not in motion I feel it was best to just carry on. Maybe there was a car behind me and it wasn't practical to stop or maybe there was no one behind me and therefore the bus could move off after I'd gone past... this was so long ago that I can't remember.

So probably the areas where there are large roundabouts like near St Peter's hospital and also the A317 tends to be busy at that time. Was just looking for Dan to pull up safely and move off safely... not really looking for Dan to find a place where you can "park". For example, there might be a road on test where parking is only for residents... but it doesn't mean to say you can't pull up on the left and then move off again. In a real life scenario, you might just pull over for a short period of time to drop off a friend... perfectly fine.
