Never thought I would be making this video, but here we are. An unfortunate part of keeping animals, sometimes things can go bad. But regardless, the show must go on. Thanks for all the support and kind messages and comments through this all.

Absolutely gorgeous!
What kind of substrate do you use? Beautiful frogs.
@@bombina71 the greenhouse has a dirt mix that I made (I have a video of mixing all the dirt if you want to know details), a layer of bark mulch, then leaf litter
What kind of peacock bass are those?
@@davidschmidt8391 Cichla merinae, known as fogo
So cute 😊
Beautiful
My fav amphibian next to the Whites tree frogs
I have a few pictures of those frogs, I really like those.
So cute.
WOW them fogos look epic mate. Pond looks awesome 👍 i got bitten by my 2ft + silver Arowana 3x yes they draw blood 😂
Darn that's the cutest thing ❤
I went to Costa Rica exclusively to see this frog. She’s definitely more than we can see :) so lovely
It looks like your fish wanted to go after the frog, when it jumped.
@@justlovely36 I’m sure they would if they could haha
What's the dimension of your pond and how much Polyester resin did you use?
@@Nguyen12121 the pond is about 12.5’ x 6.5’ and 40” deep. And I can’t remember how much of everything I used honestly. But if you really need to know shoot me a message on IG and I can track it down for ya probably. Or email at zach@alifeexoticutah.com
Those bass are stunners
Beautiful 🤩 Do they peck at you when you clean?
@@MattKeepsFish the bass don’t, sometimes the arowana will though
@@ALifeExotic That’s terrifying but awesome 😂
Love it!
🔥🔥🔥
So you’re saying that you’re not worried because this species of snake is only interested in hunting rodents?
@@MattKeepsFish no I didn’t say they’re only interested in hunting rodents. But I said they’re not interested in frogs and lizards, both of which are kept in here with them.
@@ALifeExotic What do they hunt then?
@@MattKeepsFish rodents, small birds, eggs from nests. They seem to be very adapted to raid bird nests
This is a great opportunity for people to learn about how different species act when housed together, there’s be nothing left in the jungles if everything fed on everything else ❤
Your love of animals and passion for this ecological mission is so honorable. Just found your channel and am really enjoying the journey. RIP Flapjack 😢
@@redlady3123 thank you! 🙏
Beautiful snake.
Sounds awesome. You’ll definitely see a lot of it reptiles. Love that snake.
would be good to have a version without the horrible music
Latin pronunciations only matter if you are pronouncing the lettersits a dead language do as you wish. I called cotoneaster cotton easter then my boss said its cotony aster. Give fewer shits about name pronunciations we get it. Text names are helpful for those wanting to find same species so thanks. Its looking good. Some tropical fabacea (pea family) nitrogen fixing ground covers might be a good plan for future viability.
Soooo cute
Not an ant fern (Lecanopteris) btw. It's a Myrmecodia, another group of ant plants. I would definitely get a Lecanopteris though, they are SUPER cool.
What a lovely plants 🪴 Like 428 My friend thank you for good sharing Have a good relationship
This is a great art Man. keep going
Hi! Just found you!! Amazing job. Just so You know … the bromeliad you called ‘Haiku’ , is actually an Aechmea not a Neoregelia… but looks like it is the Aechmea ‘ Haiku'… love your greenhouse and the flora and fauna!
@@plant-a-holic ahh you’re right! I messed that one up. Thank you!
@@ALifeExotic no problem.. your greenhouse is amazing…and that’s from a certified plant-as holic!❤️🍃
Ooh I'm so glad I found this! My dream is own a greenhouse with free range chameleons someday. But UVB is a big puzzle piece I've been wondering about, so seeing how you make it work is so helpful!
The greenhouse looks amazing man! Absolutely beautiful and so well put together!
@@WickensWickedReptiles thanks man! Much appreciated
Nice greenhouse
Just use grow lights meant for growing weed plants quite a few lights that are great for budgets and use phone controls.!! Most of all give off plenty of uvb
Looks as if it may be shedding soon as well.
Definitely deep in shed.
And the greenhouse is looking awesome. Love checking out the videos.
Before you get rid of the pharoahs mask. Would like to see if I can get a couple more starters from you. This is Brandon. Samson's stepdad. 👍. Thanks.
@@brandonmiller-jd7yo yep! Of course. Just have Samson get with me and I can bring some to him or you guys can come grab them
@@ALifeExotic sounds good. Thanks man ! Your doing an awesome job with the greenhouse
@@brandonmiller-jd7yo thank you! Much appreciated
So _Thats_ how snakes drink!
@@Mrloophole and now you know
I love that you have an Amorphophallus in there. what a cool plant! i know that Konjacs and others are easy to come by but where did you find the A. Operculatus? the pink border on the leaf is awesome.
@@jacobwood3501 I got it from a good friend of mine. Hopefully I’ll be getting some other really good looking less common ones later this summer
Omg the frog ❤
That Joepii doesn’t look like mine, maybe it’s a 69686 they’re a bit broader of the leaf, mine is a very skinny leaf with more bulbous ends Your jungle is incredible, what a dream, I wish I could make a greenhouse like that! The pure amount of epiphytes you have mounted is like a botanical garden we went to in Hawaii, so cool
I am in awe of your greenhouse. I love the fish and plants. Such a paradise.
Put barley husk in the stream for algae reduction
I noticed that a lot of your anthuriums are flowering. You should cross pollinate! It’s super easy and you’ll get a ton of seedlings from them.
@@ereynolds4637 pretty much all of them are haha it’s crazy. But I honestly don’t have time or space to grow a bunch of seedlings to sell. And I’m not huge into all the anthurium hybrids. I’ll probably just collect pollen and give it to friends who do.
By the way that 0.1 you get on that solarmeter inside is likely shortwave UVA2 which the solarmeter will pick up some and it does pass through polyethylene easier and the UVA diodes are totally safe without a solarmeter, UVB diodes is a very different story. If you want to encourage basking under the UV lamps in such a big enclosure large halides get used in large zoo set ups to encourage the animals to go directly under the lights. The quality of light they put out looks like a sunbeam to them. Great vid as always!
@@ElLenadorLA thank you! Taking notes
This channel will have a million subscribers one day! Great job and thank you for posting!
@@hrhamm123 thank you! 🙏 we hope so!
Some of my fav plants. Cant wait to see the ranitomeya
"met" you on facebook as we are both interested in plants and animals i do mostly cacti and Geckos though...amazing to see what you've achieved so far - insipiring seeing people to push the envelope
@@exowlad awesome! I’m glad you came here to check it out. Did you see me post in a group on fb? And thank you so much!
How are you keeping those fish from jumping out, especially the Arowana?
@@chrispayne1324 there’s a giant enclosure around the whole pond. It’s normally closed, but I usually open it when I’m in there filming or feeding fish. The front opens up like a garage door kind of. You can see how it all works on my older video of me building it
you're living my dream
Looks amazing and great plant selections and diversity. Do you remember where you got the pentagonia wendlandii? That's stunning!
