Sooo cool to see the puffing snakes. Such a unique, beautiful snake. Couldn't have picked a better colubrid for the greenhouse imo! The nests to feed them eggs from is such a great idea.
This is such a great concept. Kind of something I always dreamt of as a kid. i thought of one day having multiples greenhouses for different biomes & climates, like obviously a lush tropical house, but also a Mediterranean or chaparral house with bearded dragons or rosy boas or something, an arid desert section, or a temperate house with possibly glass lizards or sheltopusik, or Hognose or garter snakes with some type of toads breeding for them to hunt when they felt like it… and to contain the amphibians’ numbers. A self-sustaining food chain!
What an amazing snake species! I'd never heard of them! I'd love a bird eater snake that big, and do they always behave so docile? What a lovely creature! Building one their own greenhouse would be worth it.
Yeah, that probably wouldn’t be a good idea lol According to Google, adults will eat birds, rodents & other snakes ….while juveniles feed on lizards & rice.
I stumble on your green house pond build and was entertained by your presentation but your passion made want to see more. I am not into keeping reptiles but I have a new found appreciation of them. I looked up after watching several of you videos and a few hours had passed. Great stuff. More people need to see your channel. I for one will spread the word.
Those Puffing Snakes are super cool!!! The male is absolutely huge but the colors on the female!!! And that she's in blue, damn these snakes were meant for the greenhouse!
Was visiting Roy on a herping trip from the UK the week he shipped these to you. He was telling me all about your greenhouse project and how he was looking forward to seeing how they act in such an awesome space. I’ll be watching with interest! This is cool stuff and Roy’s animals are TOP quality having seen them first hand in person!
That lizard is stunning! Just found your channel I’m gonna have to binge watch!! Love how chill you were taking them outta the shipping containers, first impression is everything, wow the size difference of that pair! So appreciate you’ve done all your research!!
Thanks! Glad to have ya watching! And I always try not to stress animals if it’s not needed, especially when they’re already stressed. Just a good practice and setup for good behavior between us in the future
Absolutely wonderful to see! Roy is truly one of the best and a great friend over the years, so lovely to see these animals going into such an amazing environment 😁
Absolutely stunning species. All spilotes are super bad ass snakes. I’ve seen spilotes just knocking back live prey without even dispatching the prey first. Just down it goes immediately while it’s still kicking.
After seeing the greenhouse and this video it is so awesome to see how much you care about what you are doing. It’s so inspiring man. Keep doing your thing and being awesome.
Hell yeah congrats on the babies, at first sight I thought they were cribos! Sick species to chose, colubrids are a nice active species to showcase in that environment!
And I tought I was crazy for having a future project idea like this… Finding your channel I was like…no way, someone actually did this!? Looks awesome!
I thought I knew most snakes but I've never heard of these guys! Are they related to false water cobras and hognoses?❤ (Those are also rear-fang venomous colubrids which 'hood up' like a cobra!)
You mentioned in another video that you spend hundreds of dollars on magnolia leafs. Would it be viable for you to process them yourself? They are after all common ornamental trees, and if you can't find someone who has one in their garden, you should be able to find them in a botanical garden near-ish to where you live.
not only your handling of the snakes but your explanation of why they're the right fit was spot on. excited for the future of this series.
Thanks!
Also the Snoot boop to the camera was the cutest dang thing !!!! I love that so much !
The way that these snakes are so docile even for being a venomous species such a beautiful snake !!

Definitely has an elapid look. Very cool addition to the greenhouse!
Heck of a video man! Huge shoutout to Roy for doing amazing work with incredible species! Excited to see how they settle in
Thank you! And yes, Roy and the animals he works with are amazing

Vampire Crab would be good on the new ditch
So that means no birds anymore... No finches or something... But what an incredible animal!!!
Yeah, that probably wouldn’t be a good idea lol According to Google, adults will eat birds, rodents & other snakes ….while juveniles feed on lizards & rice.

Amazon Puffing Snake AKA Spilotes sulphureus
With all the slug damage i was expecting Dekays snakes, your choice is pretty too
So cool! Those are some pretty snakes.
Can't wait for more updates, most exciting series on YT for me rn
I thought I knew most snakes but I've never heard of these guys! Are they related to false water cobras and hognoses?❤ (Those are also rear-fang venomous colubrids which 'hood up' like a cobra!)
Nope, not related to them
Como rmpacan a los animales asi? Como respiran encerrados en las cajas! O las cajas tienen agujeros para que ellos ouedan respirar???🤔🤔🤔
your channel just got twice as cool
Snakes that won't hurt or eat the frogs and lizards? Hmmm, okay. I'm interested.
Nice, i love the idea!
You need some more trees in there
Wicked awesome!
😱
This is amazing. I wish I lived somewhere something like this was possible! I will have to live vicariously through you.
Thank you! And it probably is possible if you really want. I live in an extremely dry climate with hot summers and very cold winters
dream greenhouse!
👏🏻 awesome
The ONLY reason I clicked on this video was that Mustache.
You wild
wow, what camera are you using?
Canon eos r10

They are not really grown in my area. That’s why I was hoping to find something that is willing to ship me some for cheaper
Yay snakes
Let's go!
what about feed for snakes what they will eat?
