- How I keep swordtails and some information that you might find useful.
Temperature 20-24 degrees Celsius
PH 6.5-7.5 (for best results)
Feeding I find pellet food works better then flake but frozen or live is best.

Depends on the temperature mine probably a year to get about 5-6 inches in a pond out side without heated water
Thanks for your super informative post. Are sword tails and platys from the same family? If so, can they mate and produce hybrids?
Similar families they can interbreed with fertile offspring a lot of the ones in the hobby have hybrid ancestors

my swordtails are sort of translucent with a slight bit of color and their sword is on their anal fin instead of their tail, do you know what kind of swordtail that is? I’ve looked it up I can’t find anything.
