For people wanting to do zero water change, bare in mind if you use hard tap water to top up evaporation then your tanks GH/KH will rise over time unless you do an occasional water change to remove the solids left behind, best approach would be to top off evaporation with R.O or Rain water as it has no dissolved solids and wont raise the GH/KH. It wont happen over night but its worth keeping an eye on
Nice of you to make a video on a no water change aquarium topic. I too am in the 5th week now with no water changes and have noticed all my fish are more happier and active. Im still yet to transition all my tanks and ponds to deep substrate and plants to be self sustainable on par with creating a food web. Great video!

@@little_bee_007 I have only been able to do that with my ponds I believe to do that in the aquarium it would require very low stocking and a larger tank
At the moment only like 4-5 tanks have sponge filters most of the tanks have no filters. I think now going on 4 years no water charges (since last having to my my tanks around) but I regularly top water that evaporated. I will change water if I medicate a tank but that only happens if my quarantine tanks are occupied.
Just how it comes out of the tap which is between 6.5 and 7.5ph (luckily the rage most fish want) if you’re water is too soft crushed coral is an easy fix
These green water tanks looks so good, I love them 😢, but i dont know why my tank water dont get green, i also keep my lights on for 12 hours still i dont get any green algae or anything.

No because Ro water has no minerals etc in it for the plants to use to grow so regular water is fine just adjust the PH to what the fish requires
