Driving around York County, PA and capturing some not so smart moves of the area drivers.
Unsafe Merge
"Infamous" on ramp to I-83 at Glen Rock, PA. At least I call it infamous for me. About 30 to 40% of the time, when I'm traveling northbound, when there are vehicles merging onto I-83 north, they either don't accelerate enough or just cut you off. Here a Royer's Flowers van merges onto the highway and cuts off traffic. There was a space, not a safe one, between cars and he just pushed his way in and tailgated the car in front.

Three I 83 Speeders

Traveling north on I-83 just north of Shrewsbury, a flat bed truck and 2 cars come flying by me. They are idiots looking for a place to have an accident. The speed limit is 65 mph. I'm doing about 70. This idiots have to be well over 80, probably close to 90 mph.
Failure To Yield On Left Turn

Approaching the intersection of Coventry Road with South Queen Street, I'm making a right turn. This Tahoe driver opposite me is making a left turn and does it while I'm starting into my right turn. Just cuts me off. I'm quite sure that driver saw me and just that impatient. Idiot!!!
Semi Truck Weaves In And Out Without Regard For Other Traffic

18 wheeler, with an "Xtra Lease" trailer, recklessly cuts off traffic. Driving like he has a sports car. Cuts off a dump truck really close. This driver should not have a CDL. He is endangering other drivers on the highway. This southbound I-83 near after the Leaders Heights exit and going by the Glen Rock exit.
2 Cars making Right Turn On Red No Stop

On Hill Street approaching Mt. Rose Avenue, I have a green light. One car ahead of me goes ahead then a pickup truck and a sedan make right turns from Mt Rose Ave. without stopping for the red light.
Red Light Runner Spring Grove PA

Sitting at the red traffic light at the intersection of Lehman Road and PA-116, just west of Spring Grove, PA. The last car in the line of traffic runs the red light eastbound on 116. There's about a 3 second delay between their red and my green so there is no doubt the last car an the light.
Box Truck Can't Stay In Lane

Not sure what this box truck driver is doing. Doesn't seem to be paying much mind to where he is on the road. Dangerously crossing onto and over the double yellow line.

Car aggressively cuts in front of me across the solid white line then moves to the right through lane. The right lane has to merge to the left immediately after the traffic light. Some other cars also pull up behind them. Then take off to beat the truck.
Stop Sign Runner I 83 Exit Ramp

Utility van comes up the I-83 off ramp that has a stop sign at the end of the ramp. The dump truck does it right with a full stop but the utility van barely slows down and runs the stop sign.

Honda is in the left through lane then crosses the solid white line to get in the right turn lane. After turning, the driver splits the lanes until they get to the next light. What are they thinking?

Caught three cars with no turn signal. Car 2 cars ahead of me changes lane 1 to 2 without turn signal. SUV in right lanes, enters my lane, no turn signal. Car enters Queen St. from exit ramp, no signal. Come on people. It's not that difficult.

This driver doesn't to know where they are going. Goes straight from the left turn lane after signaling and stopping for the left turn. Went straight without checking if anyone was nest to them in the straight through lane. Richland Ave. at West King Street.

Car ahead of runs the red light. It was definitely red before he got to the stop bar. No attempt to slow down. Next traffic light, I was right behind him. Did't get too far ahead.

This is somewhat related: Is making a non-arrow left turn, just when the light turns green and the oncoming traffic hasn't approached yet always illegal? I haven't done it, but I've run into several people who have.
The left lane is for passing, not as an excuse to fly 15+ MPH over the limit.
So I revisited the video. What is shaking is the edge protector on the front of the hood. Got to check that out. WeatherTech only provides adhesive strips to secure it. Hmmmmm……..

People tend to forget speed is not the only danger factor of driving It seems to me that your car is actually more of danger tho others compared to those who are going a little bit over speed limit. Fix that bumper because it is shaking all over the place one day it will come off flying and it will hit some ones windshield.
@@Frontofax camera was doing the shaking but UA-cam focused on the main view so it looks like the car is shaking.

So someone a bit ahead of you accidently drifts a bit over the line, realizes their mistake, and signals to get back in their original lane. It's "bad," but hardly worth getting worked up over.

Yep, many parts of America have people that go 15 mph higher or more than the speed limit. Found this out driving across the country a few times. I always drove slower as I would think to myself, “what if there’s a cop nearby?”

You have a very loose definition of aggressive cutting. The only thing wrong with this video is no signal on the initial lane change. It was nowhere close to a solid line when he changed to in front of you, and only turned solid after he was over halfway through the next lane change, which he did signal. You're nuts if this bothered you enough to post on youtube.

You weren't "starting ur turn", he was turning before you even got there so pause for a second and lay off ur meds. He's trying to clear out the way for everyone else behind him, it's a cooperative effort, everyone is trying to get somewhere.
No he pulled out infront of him, he had the right of way. Its people like you that dont know how to drive that cause accidents. suv should have waited in the intersection for a clear opening. and if the light turned red with him still in the inserection then he will have right of way to clear interesection.

While speeding can be dangerous, it seems this highway can easily handle the speed with no major issues. Potholes or US highways with intersections come with more risk to the high speed, but on well-maintained controlled access interstates you could realistically drive at your car's top speed with no major issues, like on the German Autobahn. This is coming from a guy that regularly drives 55 mph for fuel savings. Tailgating and risky passing are bigger issues that I've encountered then the speeding itself.
The problem is not speeding. Yes, most roads can handle this speed and the cars can definitely too. The problem is who's behind the wheel. Germany permits no speed limit because getting a drivers license there costs 3k dollars and is much harder to get than in the US, only allowing good drivers (mostly) to pass. In the US there are so many idiots and with this being a 65mph limit road it is most likely approaching a populated area

Riding in the left lane aka passing lane is just as much of a violation as speeding and it's agitating. He wasn't even driving reckless, get off the road grandpa.
Not riding in the left lane. Just passed a slower vehicle. I’m doing 72 in a 65. That car was doing over 80. That’s speeding. Period.
@@baddriversofsouthcentralpa The other vehicles were camping in the left lane and you didn't complain about that and it certainly presents a hazard. 80 in a 65 is also not reckless, it's speeding but 15 over isn't nearly as crazy as you portray.
