Had my account restricted this week due to this rubbish,one was a posyed item lost in the post and another was buyer tried to return,but when i opened up a return for them they cancelled it... will be reevaluated on the 20th december so until then no promoted listings😢
I find thal the defects are being removed shortly before 20th of the month, just before next adesemsnt. And the common denominator of those that are being removed is positive feedback. These get removed automatically. Maybe it's a coincidence, but this is what I've noticed on my account a long time ago. I had 26 removed in one month once.
When it comes to metrics, I get the following message from eBay, "You’ve received this notification as your ‘Item not as described’ rate is high or very high for the period between 01 Nov, 2023 and 31 Oct, 2024." which is immensely frustrating because I go out of my way to ensure my listings are VERY detailed. My listings contain everything the buyer needs to know about the item including all the technical specifications to ensure there is no chance of a mistake being made. The only reason this metric is high is because when buyers choose to return an item, they just pick one of two options like "Not as described" or "Defective Item" either through laziness or to ensure they get their return postage paid for. So not only do I suffer additional postage losses that are through no fault of my own but just to rub salt in the wounds, eBay comes along with a slap on the wrist email like this about metrics that are completely false and down to bad buyer habits.
Been following you now for a while. Can I ask if you have done or plan to do a vlog about postage and packaging as I can't get my head round pricing. Thanks in advance Dave.

Listen I get the smart thing and stop selling on eBay 10 years ago. With all the fraud and the complete lack of Help from eBay who just don't care about you at all it's just best that you avoid them all together so I don't know why you are still doing this finds different way to sell your stuff.

That’s so weird. Make sure you appeal and report each instance too. Very frustrating.

Yep- I am at 0.34% now, all thanks to RM48 data not getting pulled into eBay properly.
