I bought the OG xbox when it was first released. I was late to the party with the PS1. I am in my early 50s, so multi-player wasn't a thing while I was growing up. I never played Halo, and I still haven't. The only multi-player games I've played are 2 and 4 player games sitting together on the same couch. My friend and I played hundreds of hours if not a 1000+ playing Twisted Metal. Our GFs hated those nights because we would play all night and not go to sleep and then go fishing all day. Great moments in my life for sure. Great job restoring the OG Xbox.

When you're referring to the grit of sandpaper, you're backwards. Magic eraser is not a low grit, it is high grit. The higher the number, the finer the sandpaper. Magic eraser is super high at around 4000 grit. Just slightly abrasive.

I can think the smell and almost taste it... Iv lived with them for a few years as a kid and it was as bad as that console 😅

I know this is an older video, but while watching I got an idea for removing the smoke smell that you could use on future projects. You could try placing the parts in a bin with an ozone generator with the lid on to trap the ozone gases inside. I've seen this method used to remove bad odors from the inside of cars.

I let my sister hold onto and use my Xbox One when I went off to basic seven years ago. Came back to me the following March absolutely plagued with roaches. I never took it apart myself, but for several weeks after getting it back, roaches would come out, and I would kill them as I saw them. It finally stopped, and I'm sure to this day that there were a LOT of roach bodies still in there for the rest of its life. Surprisingly, I had very few issues with it it's entire life after that.

I have a Xbox 360 elite that has a grasshopper infiltration, thankfully all of them are dead, but it is sitting in one of my storage cabinets, and I still have not yet gotten around to fixing it I bought it around the beginning of 2024

I’m a bit late but Error Code 07 indicates a bad HDD (Hard drive timeout / HDD took too long to become ready) and needs to be replaced or repaired

I've cleaned different stufff like plastic, consoles, metal, etc.. that was smoke damaged (stained and smell). Bottled spray Lyson all purpose cleaner lemon has work the best in removing stain and smell, might work for you.

This…….I have no words to describe on how disgusted I am on how one person can have a infestation of roaches in his Xbox. If you’re sending him a refurbished Xbox, what makes you think that other Xbox would last another infestation?.

I have been through this cleaning my nephews game systems out over the years. I always used the alcohol wipes and toothbrush. I have not been into gaming for over 10 yrs. I am looking into getting a series x. Is it worth it!
